TSG181 Snowy Days

This week at There She Goes, our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetters! We are challenging YOU to make a card or project using a winter theme. Snow, snowmen, just make it wintery!!

For my card today, I decided to use one of my fave TSG sets called "Snowy Days".  It's one that I love pulling out at this time of year with all of its' cute images.  Love them!!  For my layout, I've used the current SFYTT with the only difference being that I placed the entire circle above rather than being partially cut off.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge(winter) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (November 19th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)
You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG181 so we can check out your beautiful work!

SFYTT Oops...

It's been a busy month so I haven't had much time to just play with my stamps.  Realizng that it's the end of September which means there will be a new SFYTT coming out soon, I knew I had to create a card for September.  I bought a bunch of stamps from The Cat's Pajamas in August and you guessed it, this one called "Deep Breath" is seeing ink for the first time. I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored it with Tombow Markers.  Easy peasy.  The DP is an old pack from MME (I love non-traditonal winter colors so I had to have this DP).

See you soon!!

TSG Sneak Peek - On the Move

Here we are on our fourth, and final, day of peeks for this month's new release at There She Goes, and we are ending it with an ADORABLE set from Torico!!
Torico has created the most adorable moving set,  which we think will help to ease the pain of moving just a little! Most people do NOT like to move, and this super cute set has an image and sentiment for every occasion, whether you be the one moving, or if you are sending one to a friend or family member. With a major transition such as moving, a hand stamped greeting is JUST the thing to say goodbye, hello, or just a plain welcome to the neighborhood….and there’s a DOG!!!!

For my card, I used the current SFYTT sketch. Go me!! LOL!! Can you tell I have a bunch of new papers in my collection of DP?  Love it all!!!
On the Move is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $24.00.
Would you like to win the new On the Move stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.
You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, August 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

LOL!!! I love every image in this set but wanted to do something a little different than what I thought people would create.  This card would be perfect for a friend who is needing a bit of encouragement.  The layout for my card is this month's SFYTT

If you're a member of the Fan Club at SCS, I have another project here for this month's Dirty Dozen Summertime gallery.

Beach Bum is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 19 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

TSGA - Spread your wings

Each month at There She Goes,  we have what we call "There She Goes (Again)"  where we highlight some of our older sets.  All week long we've been showing some older cards that the DT has created and today we show you new cards we've made using the sets.

For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Spread Your Wings", it's one I pull out quite often because I love the images as well as the fantastic sentiments.  When I started this card, I had planned on using the butterflies but my creativity took me to a different route. LOL!!! I'm sure you know how that goes!!  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then sponged the entire main panel with Pink Pirouette Ink.  A few MS butterflies that I've sponged around the edges and I'm all done.  Simple, easy!! The layout for my card is this month's SFYTT

Now head on over to the TSG blog to check out all the fantastic cards the DT has created!!!

All of the TSGA sets are on sale this week too!!!

Love Birds Regular Price: $18.00 Special Price: $15.30
Spread Your Wings Regular Price: $15.00 Special Price: $12.75

Bee Happy Regular Price: $7.00 Special Price: $5.95

And guess what else is happening in TSG land!!

TSG Sneak Peek - Cute as a button

What can we say about this new set from Torico, other than…it’s Cute As a Button?! The perfect sewing set for ANY crafter, full from top to bottom, end to end, with as MANY stamps as you could POSSIBLY need to make the perfect card or scrapbook page, this whimsically cute set is sure to have EVERYTHING you need to celebrate the crafter in your life!

I may not be a sewer but I have to admit this is a CUTE set and perfect if you have a sewing friend in your life.  For my card, I wanted to go girly and cute so I used DP from My Mind's Eye (various paper lines) that worked well together.  My layout is this month's SFYTT, which i know will be going into my favorite sketch file.  I stamped the dress form in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then sponged around the edge of the main panel with Angel Pink Memento ink.

Cute As a Button is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 33 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

Would you like to win the new Cute As a Button  stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSG Sneak Peek - Cutie Pi

Yeah!!! Day 1 of TSG Sneak Peeks!!!

Melyssa and her ADORABLE characters are back this month with another SUPER AWESOME set!! Whether making a card for a boy or girl, young or old, this set will be PERFECT for congratulating them on a job well done, or letting them know how you REALLY feel! Scientifically speaking, it’s the perfect SOLUTION.

I have had this DP from Pink Paislee for weeks and I hadn't broken into it yet so I figured now was as good as time as any.  LOL!! For my card, I've used the Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol Technique for a change.  I've also used this month's SFYTT for my card today.

Cutie Pi is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 14 stamps and will sell for $18.
Would you like to win the new Cutie Pi stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges and comment on their creations as you go. SFYTT Out on a limb?

It's been a great month so far and I was more than excited when I found out that "There She Goes" is sponsoring "Sketch for You to Try".  One of my fave stamp companies pairing up with one of my fave sketches.  Match made in heaven I tell ya!!!

Great sketch!!!

My card uses one of the new releases from TSG called "Jungle Out There".  I watercolored the image with Tombow Markers (surprise, surprise).  LOL!!! I'm so predictable.  The DP is a mixture of Bella Blvd and Kaisercraft that I purchased recently at my LSS.

There is a great group of girls participating with samples today using TSG stamps. Pop on over to Jen's blog to check out all the details!!

Before I leave, I just want to let you know that Candace, who is one of our new TSG Trendsetters, changed her blog address and blog name. I hope you visit her new blog, Creatively Candace to follow her beautiful creations!

TSG148 Happy Easter

This week our challenge at There She Goes  is brought to us by our Trendsetters! We are challenging YOU to make a card or project with an Easter theme, but using animals.   The week prior to the upcoming release, we always have what we call "There She Goes (Again)" and we highlight older stamp sets.

For my card today I've used one of our TSGA sets called "Hunny Bunnies" .  I've stamped the two images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then watercolored them with Tombow Markers.  I attempted to do a look that I've seen before with glitter... but as you can see, all it looks like is snow (not my intention) - darn it anyway.  For some reason, it didn't end up with the effect it was supposed to have.  The layout for my card comes from this month's SFYTT that I've flipped over on  its' side. I have also added some Black Twinery Twine from the Ribbon Carousel and the DP I've used is the Dolled Up line from MME (also from the Ribbon Carousel).

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using Easter and Animals, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 26th).

If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG148 so we can check out your beautiful work!

SFYTT Full of Joy

OMG!!! As this post goes live, I'm having a great time in Washington state with a great group of girls, stamping in our pj's and I'm sure laughing our butts off.  I promise there will be a full re-cap of the trip when I get home along with pics!!!

I've made this card for this month's SFYTT using the Your Next Stamp set called "Seasonal Icons 1".  The image has been stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I have then watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers.  As you can tell.... I flipped the sketch again!! Surprise, surprise!! LOL... For the cups on the right hand side of the card, I've used a MS punch that had coffee cups with whip cream on top.  I've cut the whip cream part off to make the more like the cups in the stamped image.

Hope you like it!! Have a fab day!

SFYTT Bee Mine

Yeah!!! My "Your Next Stamps" order arrived earlier this week and I couldn't wait to make a card with this month's Sketch for You to Try. Your Next Stamps is the sponsor at SFYTT this month and as this month's Guest Designer I get to play with their stamps too. Yeah!!! I was disappointed that I didn't have them for the first card this month but I'm delighted to use them for this card. When I opened up the stamps, I was incredibly impressed with the quality of "Your Next Stamps".  Phenomenal!!! I know I'll be placing an order soon for some fun goodies.  The image I have used on this card is from the fabby set called "Seasonal Icons 1". The image has been stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers. I paper pieced the hearts (one of the SFYTT girls did it on their card and I love the look) and I've also added some Diamond Stickles to the bee's wings for a bit of extra dimension. Isn't that DP fabulous? I made a trip to Parksville to Scrapbookin' Adventures the other day (our closest scrapbook store) and found this fabulous Pebbles DP. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's been awhile since I've had DP that I just "had" to have. The twine on my buttons is Black Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel.

Don't forget you have all month to play along with this month's Sketch for You to Try.

Did you see the fun announcement on Jen's blog today? Karen of Your Next Stamps is offering up some fun for SFYTT participants.

SFYTT A little Hello

OMGoodness!!! Check out that little logo above!! Can I just say WOW!! Jen del Muro and Susan Liles asked me, YES ME to be the February Guest Designer for Sketch for You to Try. My first response when I was asked was "Are you sure you emailed the right person?".  I'm super excited to be playing along with all of the FABULOUS ladies at SFYTT.  So many of the ladies are my stamping idols so it's a true pleasure and honour.

Fabby sketch eh?? Love it!!!

This month, Your Next Stamp is the sponsor and I can't wait to play with their stamps. Unfortunately, they didn't get here  in time but  I'll be playing with them as soon as they arrive.

So here's my card.  Cute eh?

As you can see, I have flipped the sketch on its' side (such a rebel...) because the fabby Addy'tude from Stamping Bella worked better this way.  I've watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers and then fussy cut her out so that I could pop her up to give her some dimension. I added some rhinestones as her earrings.  Who wouldn't want those stunners in their ears right?  I'll take some sparkle and bling anywhere I can get them.    The DP for my card is a mix of Basic Grey Picadilly and My Mind's Eye.  As you can see... I changed the sketch up a little itty bit and used the long rhinestone swirl as the three circles in the sketch.  I love the look that it gives and it's still looks like the original sketch.

Thank you so much for popping by!!! I'll be playing along with Your Next Stamps as soon as i get them.  Pop on over to Jen's blog to check out all the details about this month's sketch.

Have I mentioned this is a dream come true???

RCC35 Inspired by relaxation

I can't believe it's been a month since I've made a card for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge!!! Wowza!  This week Laurel has created an inspiration challenge that is somewhat winter like.

**** Sorry about the pic quality!!! I have a new camera and things came out kinda funky with the lighting.  I'll try to take a pic on Tuesday in the day light.  I kinda strayed away from the inspiration pic - oops!!! I did keep most of the colors the same though and then added a bit of  pink to lighten it up for a more Spring like look.  I've used a digi called "Bubble Leah" from Whimsie Doodles who is our sponsor this week.  The image has been watercolored with my Tombow Markers and then I've added some Diamond Stickles to the bubbles both in the bathtub and the air. The layout for my card comes from this month's SFYTT. I must have been pre-occupied while making this card.... I got it all finished and then realized I had no ribbon on it!!! So, part of my card had to be disassembled so that I could add some  Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine from the Ribbon Carousel. Call me a dork!!!

One lucky participant will win a $10 Gift certificate to the Whimsie Doodles online store. You'll want to check out the Ribbon Carousel Challenge blog too!!! There might be a little something extra for this week's participants.

TSG133 Happy Holidays

Have you missed me?  LOL!!! I wish....  It's been a crazy week at the Thomas household with getting ready for the holidays (and my upcoming birthday).  Chances are that many of my posts this month will be DT related which always means fun!!!

Melissa is our Trendsetter of the week at There She Goes and she has challenged us to create a card using the inspiration photo.  As soon as I saw it, my mind went to Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather DP which is perfecto!!!

Lucky for me, this month's SFYTT was posted so of course I just had to use it!!  I've used the TSG stamp set called "Wonderful Winter Wishes" and a sentiment from Penguin Pals.  I've watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers and then paper pieced part of the little guys' outfit.  I wanted to add a bit of texture to my card so I've dry embossed the circular panel with the Snowflake Embossing Folder.  I've used some Natural Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel threaded through each of the purple buttons.

We'd love for you to participate along with us so make sure you check out all the deets over at the TSG blog.

It's the getting close to the end of the year and I've managed to partipate in all the SFYTT sketches. Wahoo!!! Yeah, I'll be eligible for the grand prize of goodies!! Here are my cards from throughout the year:  January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November.

You give me Chills

Are you getting sick of me yet?  LOL!!! I've been busy creating lately, hence, I actually have cards to add to my blog.  Yeah!!! I may be quiet the next few days as I get creating for next week's TSG release.  A new feature at There She Goes is something we like to call "There She Goes (Again)"  where the Senior Trendsetters highlight some of the older sets and this week we've been taking a look at "Birdie Wishes", "Stick Together" and "Penguin Love".  For my card today, I've used two of the images from Penguin Love.  I've watercolored parts of the igloo (and then covered part of it with Diamond Stickles) and the penguin.  The hat has been popped up to give a bit of dimension.  I also stamped snowflakes from Stick Together in some blue Chalk Ink.  My layout is from this month's SFYTT (yeah me!!!).

Thanks for popping by!!!

RCC23 You mean the world to me

Wowza!!! It's October already! Where has this year gone?  It feels like it's just flying by...  too quickly!!! I'm back again (can you believe twice in just a few days?) with a fun card for this week's Ribbon Carousel Challenge which is anything goes.

Firstly, I need to apologize for the crappy picture quality. I'm house sitting right now and didn't think to bring my Ott Lites with me for picture taking of cards.  I have always been a big fan of Jen del Muro's SFYTT so when I saw October's challenge I knew it was perfect for the image I wanted to use. I've used an MFT a la Mode called "You mean the World to me".  I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder before watercoloring with my Tombow Markers.  I've used DP from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Collection and also used some of it on the paper pieced shirt.  I'm a teacher and I studied Geography in University so this set was a must have for me.  I then added some of the Natural burlap twine from the Ribbon Carousel to finish off the card.  Isn't it lovely?

We'd love for you to participate with us this week!!! But remember you MUST use ribbon, twine, etc (basically anything that comes on a spool in your creation!!) The Ribbon Carousel is the sponsor this week and will be giving away one of the October Ribbon Club Kits to a lucky participant!!!

If you like the Ribbon for this month's kit, make sure you check out the Ribbon Carousel site (I've added the direct link for you) to sign up for the club.  It really is a fantastic economical way to get awesome ribbon.

I kept my card relatively simple with the layout (from this month's SFYTT) and some fab Bella Boulevard DP.  Hope you like it!

Now here's the exciting part!!!!  There She Goes is introducing DIES!!! Yup, DIES!!!  How exciting!  I know what you're thinking... there aren't any dies on my card today.  You can blame the Postal system for that.... I swear getting things from the US to Canada takes way too long!!!

RCC15 Getting Edgy with TGF

Did you think you'd never see my again?? I'm so happy to be back creating again with a slightly reduced work schedule, no weddings to attend among a variety of other things.  This has definitely been a summer of chaos for me and not the summer I had expected to have.

This week, Jessica Diedrich, one of our DT members as well as the DT Co-ordinator at The Greeting Farm is challenging us to get "Edgy" at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  You can distress your paper, tear it up or use an "edgy" image.  Just get edgy!!! Don't forget that your edgy creations need to have ribbon, twine etc (basically anything that comes on a spool) somewhere on them.

This week, we are being sponsored by The Greeting Farm who has graciously provided the DT with images to work with.  And to top it all off, one lucky participant will win a 4x6 set of their choice.

Let me tell you, I had a hard time choosing an image because I liked so many of them.  I eventually decided on the cute digi called Audrey.  She was a little edgy and a blast to color.  I thought she perfectly matched the Basic Grey DP and this month's SFYTT fit her to a tee. GO ME!!! I didn't wait until the last couple days of the month to get my SFYTT card finished.

Now make sure you check out what the rest of the DT did...  It's a lot of great eye candy.

HUGS!!
