Let the festivities begin

Let the festivities begin!!! Isn't Owliver the Owl great??? He was part of my recent haul from the new Goodies at Stamping Bella. his name is actually Owliver Loves to Celebrate and I've been wanting to use him for awhile. When I saw this week's mojo Monday challenge, I knew I wanted to use him. I tried to go with slightly more masculine colours as I find I never have guy cards on hand.

Hope you like my card, I'll be back tomorrow with my Bellarific Friday card.

Piggy Friends

I LOVE my Petunias!! I swear they are one of the cutest sets of stamps at Stamping Bella. This week at Stamping Bella, our challenge was an inspiration one and decided to go with some of the colours as well as with an image that has flowers in it too.

I have used the image called Petunia and Penny Take a break. The image has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The layout for my card is the current Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

Next week's challenge is a sketch again :-)

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Snookums for family

Hey there!!! It's been a busy month on my blog. I feel like my mojo is finally coming back!! Finally!! Wahoo!!! This month, I've been feeling inspired.  My stepsister and her hubby had a baby a few days ago so I decided sweet little Miles needed a welcome into the world. I've used the Stamping Bella image called Snookums. He's been coloured with prismacolour pencils and gamsol.  The layout is a really old Mojo Monday sketch that I will definitely be using again.

Don't forget to check out the Stamping Bella blog!!! We are in full swing with the fabulous sneak peeks for the release on June 1st.  I can't wait for it!!!

All about the babies

Hi there!!! I'm just popping in quickly with one last card before we ring in the new year.  As soon as I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I knew I wanted to play. My mom needed a baby card so I decided to ink up Snookums from Stamping Bella .  I think this may be one of my favorite baby images ever!! Love it!!

I'll be back in a day or two with a fun new project!!

Happy New Years!!!

Thinking of you

I had a bit of free time last week so I made this card using a recent Mojo Monday sketch... and then I forgot to blog it. I swear \I'd lose my mind  if it wasn't part of my body. LOL... Oops.... I wanted a simple thinking of you card for someone and thought the sketch was a perfect fit. I have used the thinking of you sentiment from the Stamping Bella set called "Matilda on her swing". I like how you can still make a nice card without having to color an image. \Hope you like it!!!

Baby Time

Hi there!! Another week passes and it's been a quiet week on my blog. I promise that I'll be getting back in the rhythm of the cards.  It's just so hard when you look at the beautiful sunshine!! This week at Stamping Bella, our challenge was called "Celebrate Good times". I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use the set called "Snookums". For my card, I have stamped the image with Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The layout for my card is the current Mojo Monday sketch challenge. Go me!! LOL!!!

Next week's challenge is a sketch so make sure you play along :-) Just make sure you use a current image and get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com by 10 pm EST on Thursday.

All about Babies

I had a bit of free time over the weekend so I got busy and decided to start a stash of baby cards.  Stamping Bella images to the rescue!! For my first card, I have used a Mo Manning image called Spit Happens. The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Easy peasy!!

My second card uses the Uptown Girl called "Brynn and her baby shower". The layout for my card is last week's Mojo Monday sketch.

Don't forget you still have a couple days to get your cards in for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge.

Ramona and the penguin

Hi there! Looking at my blog the last couple of weeks I realize I am in full Christmas card mode.  This week at Stamping Bella we had a fabulous inspiration photo to work from. I decided to use the same general color palette for my card and use the layout from this weeks Mojo Monday sketch

I have used the image called Mr. Penguin goes for a ride. I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, keeping it simple.

Next week's challenge is a sketch.

Make sure you get your submissions in by Thursday.

Just Ducky

Believe it or not, I actually had a day off yesterday. It feels like it's so long between days off (with working two jobs, it is rare to get a day off at all) so I took full advantage of it and got crafty yesterday.  I love this week's Mojo Monday sketch so I knew I had to play with it. For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Polka dot Pals". I love how well the Park Bench line from Fancy Pants Design works with this card. The image has been colored with Prismaacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Thanks for popping by :-)

TSG197 Wish Big

This week’s challenge at There She Goes is brought to you by our trendsetter of the week, Vera Yates. She has challenged us to make a card using only black cardstock for your layering.

For my card, I decided to use this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge as my inspiration.  I'll admit, I fudged the sketch a little because I didn't want to make it look like the image from the TSG set "Tooth Fairy Approved"  was flying off the card.  The sentiment comes from the set called "Wrapped in Joy".

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge (matting with black cardstock) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (March 11th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challengeyou may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG197 so we can check out your beautiful work!

Each month at There She Goes, we have what we call "There She Goes Again" week where we highlight older sets.  For my card today, I used the set called "Sweet Pea".  This has long been one of my favorite floral sets from TSG.  Love it!!!  The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers. Stella's into the sauce...

One last card to end 2012...

With it being New Year's Eve, I thought it was only right that I use "Stella with an Olive on Top" from Stamping Bella to wish you a Happy New Year!!! I said it a couple of weeks ago that Stella has always been one of my faves at Stamping Bella.  With them being on sale right now, I wanted to play with them before they go away.  I have stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then I watercolored with Tombow Markers. I added Stickles to the fabulous Stella as well. After all, she is wearing her crown.  LOL!!  They layout for my card is this week's Mojo Monday sketch that I flipped on its' side.

Cheers!!! Best wishes for a Happy New Year!!

TSG161 Bee happy!!!

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetters! TSG offers so many different stamps, and SEVERAL of them feature things that fly--from bugs to butterflies, birds, and bees; we want you to use your Winged Things!

For my card, I decided to use one of this month's There She Goes (Again) sets called "Bee Happy".  It has always been one of my go to sets and it makes me smile every time. There are so many things you can do with it and it always looks like a different card.  I have used last week's Mojo Monday sketch that seemed to fit so perfectly.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project featuring something with Wings, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. Acorn anyone?

I sat down this afternoon to just play!!! The mojo was flowing so I had to go with it!! Wahoo! This week, There She Goes is sponsoring the Ribbon Carousel Challenge so I had to play.  After all, I am on the design team for both.  Jessica has challenged us to use "two or more" things from a spool.  Easy peasy!!! We all know how much I love my ribbon.

Isn't she just too cute with her little acorn?  I can't wait for Fall as it's my favorite time of year, love the cool crisp air and all the colours.  Therefore, I knew I had to play with the new TSG set called "Pumpkins on the Vine" and chose to go with Basic Grey Curio DP.  I love the Fall colours in this DP. (have I mentioned how much I love Fall????).  LOL...  I've stamped the image with Versafine Vintage Sepia, then watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers (surprise, surprise right???).  The layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch (love it) which enabled me to use some of my new goodies from the Ribbon Carousel store.

Thanks for dropping by!!!

Man's best friend

Hey there everyone!!! I hope you've all had a wonderful week - we finally had some Spring weather so this chicky was one happy girl!.  I had a little bit of free time this week so I decided I just had to color up this cute Sugar Stick Dog from Lori Boyd Designs.  I printed this cute puppy off and then watercolored it with my Tombow Markers and then sponged around the edge of the image with Wheat Versamagic Ink.  Last year when this Max and Whiskers Basic Grey DP came out, I just had to have it because of the animal theme and then haven't used it so this card was perfect for it. The layout for this card was based on last week's Mojo Monday challenge that I altered slightly.

Well I'm off to put my feet up for awhile... it was a long day working in heels... Love the fact that it's now Spring but getting used to the cute sandals again... OUCH!

TSG94 Nothing but love...

This week’s challenge is brought to you by this month’s Trendy of the Week, Megan at There She Goes. She wants us to create a card using the following colors: Pink, Kraft, and Ivory. I've been a long time fan of Megan's so when I found out she was going to be one of our "Trendies" I was super excited! Her style is amazing and each time I visit her blog, I'm inspired!!  I hope that with this color comb you'll be inspired too!

As soon as I saw the color combo, I thought vintage or at least vintage looking. I've had this MME DP for quite some time and let's just say I've been hoarding it! (I'm trying to find more of this polkadot pattern and it hasn't been easy).  This is the first time that I've had the opportunity to use a newer release from There She Goes  called "Love" which was illustrated by our amazing leader, Jessica. Let's just say that this card went through a few transformations and this is the final result.  I've loosely used this week's Mojo Monday challenge but rather than using the circle element I decided to use the rhinestone swirls gone wild...  and I've placed the main image of Love a bit lower down as it seemed to fit the card much better this way.  I also made this card for Jeanie Whitmer's That's Krafty Thursday challenge which is to use Kraft on a card.

Want to play along with the Trendsetters this week?  Here's how...

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes the previously mentioned color combo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Feb 21st). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG94 so we can check out your beautiful work!

TSG88 Odd Couples

It’s our first challenge of the New Year over at There She Goes, and Jessie, our Trendsetter of the week,  has a wonderful one to jump start your mojo! Pull out your sets, and combine those that wouldn’t normally “go” together to create a new and innovative card. Let your creative juices flow to combine two or more sets…your options are limitless.

I have to admit... this one really had me thinking. I tried to get creative but I kept on going back to the same sets, Daily Grind and A Drink A Day.  I've used two of the images from Daily Grind and the sentiment "Whether you think your  glass is half or half full, it's time to ask for another refill".  Cheesy I know... but they work so well together.  I've watercolored the two images with my Tombow Markers and the layout is from Mojo Monday.  I'm addicted to my Echo Park DP (I should be hoarding it but I can't).  Love it!
To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes unconventional set combinations, and then goo back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Jan 10th).

If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG88 so we can check out your beautiful work!
