Do you ever have one of those cards that keep evolving and you think to yourself "what did I just do? Why couldn't I leave it alone?". For my card, it started out with some Gelatos and then I put the Big Words sentiment called Sometimes people forget from Stamping Bella. After that I decided it needed some Dylusions spray... Big mistake, I made a huge mess when I added a second colour of it. So... I just kind of smeared everything together. I decided I wasn't done so I used the Full Circle Element in white ink to the corner edges. One thing I have to remember when using some of the mixed media goodies is that just let it evolve, have fun and make it happen.

TSG Sneak Peek - Handwritten and Mixed Media Background Builder
WOW!! Day 4 already for TSG sneak peeks. Mixed Media Backgrounds from Tobi Crawford is perfect for all you Mixed Media crafters, but is also fabulous for cards, scrapbook pages, and other projects.
With the darn postal system, my stamps didn't arrive in time... Canada Post sucks!!! So I decided to use one of the sentiments from Handwritten and then used Gelatos that I swished across the sentiment and then spritzed it with one of the Dylusions sprays. Considering I was going for the mixed media look, I attached the image panel to the card with Washi Tape.
Mixed Media Backgrounds is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 10 stamps and will sell for $15.00.
Handwritten is a mixture of fabulous fonts and styles, perfect for adding that personal touch to any card or project.
Handwritten is a 4x6 set that includes 16 stamps and will sell for $15.oo.

Just Dance
Hi there!!! It's been a busy week on my blog and I've finally had a chance to sit down to play with my new goodies from Stamping Bella. I have been wanting to get into mixed media and finally bought a bit of stuff to play around with it. The silhouette images from Stamping Bella work perfectly for this. I decided to use the images called Happy Silhouettes. I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used Distress inks and Gelatos with a little bit of Inkagold. I then spritzed each of the silhouettes with some Dylusions sprays. I love how bright it turned out although I definitely know that I need more practice with this whole mixed media thing.

If friends were flowers
Hi there!!! Hope you're all having a great weekend. I\m enjoying the long weekend here in Canada (even though I have the beginning of a cold) and with some time off, I decided I wanted to play with some mixed media type stuff. I took a Mixed Media card class at my local stamp store the other day and I really enjoyed it so I decided to pick up some goodies like Tim Holtz Distress stains, Dylusions sprays, Inkagold and some Gelatos. Please be gentle with me!!! LOL. For my card today, I used the Stamping Bella set called Em's Lantern Flowers which was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some Mixed media paper and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then added a few different pink tones of Distress stains and some Gelatos and silver Inkagold over that. I added some polkadots using a stencil and white ink. I then had a major crafting mishap after adding the sentiment from the set called Uptown Girl Pippa loves to plant. I wanted to add some of the White Dylusions spray and let's just say more came out than I expected (all over the card and all over my craft mat). I tried to fix it.... but I'm realizing that with mixed media it doesn't have to be perfect.
Hope you like it!!!
