Have a glass

Hi there!!! Another week and another Bellarific Friday coming your way. This week we had a great inspiration pic to work with and to be honest there are so many ways this could have been interpreted.

I decided to focus on the  wine glass so I thought that the Uptown Girl called Opal the Optimist. I know we'd all love to be sipping that fantastic glass of wine in front of the Eiffel Tower!!! I've used the current Freshly Made sketch for my card.

Check out next week's challenge!! A fantastic sketch!!!

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Soldiers dancing...

Hey there!! Can you believe that you'll get to see 2 cards from me all in a couple days time? That rarely happens these days. hahahaha. As soon as I saw the Freshly Made Sketch yesterday, I knew I wanted to play a little. What's even better is that it gave me an opportunity to get another Christmas card made. Go me!!! I decided to go with a Kraft and Red theme which seems so appropriate for Christmas, don't you think? I've stamped the image called 'Christmas Soldiers" from Stamping Bella onto Kraft paper with Close to Cocoa ink. I've also distressed the edges and sponged them with Close to Cocoa ink.

Another Christmas card down. Wahoo!!!

Merry Christmas

Hi there!!! I received the new release from Stamping Bella recently and it has my mojo flowing again. Finally... LOL!!! (My mojo is back). i want to get some Christmas cards made so I decided to use  the sentiment from the new set called Christmas Soldiers and combined it with last week's Freshly Made Sketch. The sentiment has been stamped with Close to Cocoa ink and all of the edges of designer paper have been sponged with the same ink. I then added a Memory Box Snowflake. Hope you like it!!!

Be my nothing

I had a little itty bitty bit of free time yesterday so I decided to have a little bit of fun with this week's Freshly Made Sketch which was super clean and simple. I love how Stamping Bella has so many amazing sentiments to match their stamp sets so I have been trying to highlight how well the sentiments can stand alone on a card, sometimes making it so much more meaningful. I have used the sentiment from the set called "Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan under an umbrella".

Tomorrow is Bellarific Friday so I'll be back with another card then.

Frame it Bellarific Friday

Hi there!!! Wow, it feels like a busy week on my blog with Dare to Get dirty. But today, I'm here for my fave day of the week, Bellarific Friday!!! This week we had a fantastic inspiration pic to work with. I loved the colors in the pic but the frames really stood out for me.  The layout for my card this week is from the current Freshly Made Sketch challenge with my twist on it. For my card, I've used the image called
Pattie and Dottie Friends Forever. The image has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Next week's challenge is a sketch!!

I already have some ideas floating around in my head :-)

We'd love for you to participate with us so make sure you get your entries in to Emily by Thursday August 8th to be eligible for prizes!!

The image was stamped in Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current "Freshly Made Sketch".

You are so sweet

Hi there!!! I'm here with my first February post for Stamping Bella.  February??? I can't believe it!! This week, the Bellarific Friday challenge is "You are so Sweet".  There are so many ways to interpret this challenge and of course, I decided to let my sweet tooth guide the way.

For my card, I decided to use "Addy'tude is a Cupcake Diva" that I've had in my stash for quite some time. Addy was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I've added some Diamond Stickles to her earrings and some red pearls to the cherries on the cupcakes.  The layout for my card is the current Freshly Made Sketch challenge (although I did take a liberty or two with the banner placement).

A few notes :-)  They're good ones too!!!! Emily is making way for some new product so a bunch more stuff has been placed in the Specials section.  To top it off, there is also a coupon code for this weekend (Friday Feb. 1 to Sunday Feb. 3) to give you 15% off regular and sale priced items. The coupon code is ineedtopurge2013

Next week's challenge is a sketch!! My fave of all.

Email your entries to Emily at Stamping Bella by the end of Thursday February 7th to be in with a chance of winning some Bella Bucks.

Make sure you also upload to the SCS Gallery using the keyword stampingbella, and you might also see your card featured on our Pinterest board.

Let the sunshine in

The weather has been chilly and gloomy the last couple of weeks so I decided I need a little bit of sunshine. May as well make it myself, right?  I'm just hoping the sun starts shining again soon.  I've made this card for the current Freshly Made Sketch that I am squeaking under the wire with.  My most recent batch of Stamping Bella stamps arrived in the mail on Friday so I decided to ink up the sentiment from the stamp called "Sunshiny Flynn". The sun was created using the Sun Dienamic from MFT.  I sponged the edges with Dandelion Memento Ink.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Flowers anyone?

Can you tell I'm ready for Spring?  I'm so tired of the cold and wet this winter... It normally doesn't bother me but I think this lingering cold I have is making me long for Spring.

I have made this card for the current Bellatastic Tuesday challenge which is called "A picture is worth 1000 words".  We are challenging you to create a card that is sentiment free.  Let the image do the talking :-)  For my card, I've used the Stamping Bella stamp called "Patsy Pixie".  This image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and watercolored with Tombow Markers. I then did a  little bit of shading with a pastel chalk pencil.  The layout is last week's Freshly Made Sketch

Thanks for popping by!!!

Get Well Soon

Hi there everyone!!! It's our last Bellarific Friday challenge at Stamping Bella for the year. WOW!! Where did this year go?  This week's challenge is "Thinking about You".  Cathabella is feeling under the weather so I decided to use one of my favorite Huggabuggs called "Fluey Huggabugg".  The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  The layout for my card is last week's Freshly Made Sketch.

I added some Crystal Stickles to this cutie pies' wings for a bit of extra dimension.  I also added a button.... it covers up a booboo.  Oops!!!  No sooner did I finish the image and the pink marker rolled onto my page. Yikes!!!

Thanks for popping by!! I'll be back over the holidays with some more fun stampy goodness.

It's all about the Prezzies...

I have always loved the Stella line of stamps from Stamping Bella and it's been quite some time since I've inked one up... They were feeling a little unloved and begging for me to let them get dirty with ink.

This week's Bellatastic Tuesday challenge is all about embracing the white space. We want you to go clean and simple.  I always find clean and simple cards hard to make because I tend to layer things on.  But I embraced the white space after being inspired by this week's Freshly Made Sketch challenge. Because I knew I wanted to use the Stella image called "Stella needs a Prezzie" which is on sale right now.

I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed it with clear embossing powder and then watercolored it with Tombow Markers.  I then added various colors of Stickles to her lips (Fruit Punch), crown (yellow)  and the presents (Crystal).  A couple of Rhinestones and Stella is all ready for Christmas.

Thanks for popping by!! Make sure you head on over to Stamping Bella.  Emily is clearing out a bunch of old stamps to make way for some new ones!!! She's cut the prices like crazy!!!

See you tomorrow for Bellarific Friday :-)

TSG141 You brighten my day

This week at There She Goes, our challenge is brought to us by our Junior Trendsetters! They have challenged us to make a card or project using the photo as inspiration.

I had so much fun making my card but I tell ya... it was hard making a decision as to what floral image to use.  TSG has so many fabulous sets containing flowers but I eventually decided on the set called "Bloom" which I don't pull out often enough.   I've stamped the image and sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and then the main image was watercolored with my Tombow markers.  My flowers were a little bright for what I was trying to attain so out came a light brown Tombow marker to soften the colours. The layout for my card is this week's Freshly Made Sketch that I've flipped upside down.  Instead of the three little circles, I replaced it with a rhinestone flourish.
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the photo as inspiration and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February 6th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)
You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG141 so we can check out your beautiful work!

TSG Sneak Peek - Holly Jolly

No two snowflakes are alike…each with a beauty of their own and Melyssa Connolly has captured the beauty of snowflakes in this new Holly Jolly set that are sure to make you wish it were snowing. This amazing set also includes a die! It’s a fabulous versatile set that will surely bring a holiday glisten to your projects – all you need to add is the glitter!

I had so many thoughts in mind for this set but then I decided I wanted to go a bit more clean and simple to create quick and easy Christmas cards.  I've used the letters j and y that come in the set as well as one of the snowflakes to spell the word joy.  Super easy!!! As I was looking at one of my fave sketching sites Freshly Made sketches I realized I must have had ESP or something because my layout is the same as their sketch (I hadn't looked at their sketches yet).

Holly Jolly is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 35 stamps and one die and will sell for $31.50.

Would you like to win the new Holly Jolly stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.
You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday November 26th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

FMS10 Hope and Comfort

It's been one of those weeks where sympathy cards are needed.  I didn't even have a chance to put the stamps away from the last sympathy card before I needed another one.  I wanted to keep it relatively simple, so I've used this week's layout from Freshly Made Sketches (that I've turned on its side). The sentiment is from the Impression Obsession set called Sympathy sentiments (stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink) and the leaves are from the new TSG set called Autumn (stamped in Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie Ink).  This card was relatively quick and easy to make.  I'm sure I'll be making this a go to sketch.

Thanks for popping by today.

Autumn Leaves

I had a bit of free stamping time over the weekend so I decided to make a card using the new TSG set called "Autumn" which is perfect for both cards and scrapbook pages. The layout I've used is from last week's Freshly Made Sketch. I've used Kraft as a base and for the stamped layer.  The leaves have been stamped in Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie Ink.  I love how each of the colours really pop on the Kraft layer. The designer paper is from Fancy Pants Design "Summer's End" line which just so happens to be perfect for Fall cards.  This was such an easy card to make and I can't wait to play at Freshly Made Sketches again (I missed the deadline for their challenge so I'll be hoping to play next week).
