Need a cupcake?

Hey there. Wow!! I didn't realize it has been a few weeks since I've posted on my blog. We're in the busiest time at work right now so my crafty time has been pretty much zilch.

This week at Stamping Bella our challenge is a Birthday Wishes challenge. For my card, I decided to use one of the fun images from the last release called Edna with a Cupcake on top. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also paper pieced the cupcake wrapper.

Next week's challenge is using washi or ribbon on your cards!! We'll also be highlighting the next Stamp of the month.

You have until Thursday evening to get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com or by entering it on the blog.

Happily ever after

Hi there!! So sorry my post is late, I was on holidays and forgot to schedule my post before I left. Did I have a good holiday? Yes!! Did I sprain my ankle on the first day of my holiday? Yes!! My goodness, although my ankle hurt throughout my holiday, I had a great time.

This week at Stamping Bella, we had a great inspiration challenge as shown below. Love the colours!! For my card, I decided to use the image called I Do. It has been coloured with Prismacolour pencils and gamsol.

The next challenge is a sketch

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Hey there!! Can you believe it? Two cards two days in a row? LOL!!! This week's Stamping Bella challenge is Christmas in July!! For my card I used one of the images called Christmas Mouse. I decided to keep the card clean and simple and only embellished with a couple of flags and a button.

Tag you're it!!!

Hey there!!! This week at Stamping Bella, our challenge is "Anything but a card". I immediately thought about making a tag.  Easy peasy!!! LOL!! For my tag, I have used the image called Spit Happens.  I wanted to add the sentiment as well but I was afraid that I'd mess it up... I've also paper pieced his top.

Next week's challenge is another sketch

Nice to see you

Hi there!! Another Bellarific Friday coming to you on this long weekend up here in Canada.  This week at Stamping Bella, our challenge is to create a "One layer wonder". I'll have to admit I love the look of clean and simple cards but they scare the living daylights out of me.  So much white.... For my card, I decided to use my beloved Petunia image called "Nice to see you Petunia". The image has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I then added some sparkle to the glasses with one of my gel pens.

Next week's challenge is a sketch. Check it out!!

Your own Greatness

Do you ever have one of those cards that keep evolving and you think to yourself "what did I just do? Why couldn't I leave it alone?".  For my card, it started out with some Gelatos and then I put the Big Words sentiment called Sometimes people forget from Stamping Bella.  After that I decided it needed some Dylusions spray... Big mistake, I made a huge mess when I added a second colour of it. So... I just kind of smeared everything together. I decided I wasn't done so I used the Full Circle Element in white ink to the corner edges. One thing I have to remember when using some of the mixed media goodies is that just let it evolve, have fun and make it happen.

Have a glass

Hi there!!! Another week and another Bellarific Friday coming your way. This week we had a great inspiration pic to work with and to be honest there are so many ways this could have been interpreted.

I decided to focus on the  wine glass so I thought that the Uptown Girl called Opal the Optimist. I know we'd all love to be sipping that fantastic glass of wine in front of the Eiffel Tower!!! I've used the current Freshly Made sketch for my card.

Check out next week's challenge!! A fantastic sketch!!!

Got cupcakes?

Another week? Another cupcake? LOL!!! Just kidding!! It's Bellarific Friday!! It's the first Friday of the month so all of the Bella Babes are using this month's Stamp of the Month called Birthday Hamster. This particular stamp is 20% off all month long!! This week's challenge is to use either Washi tape or ribbon on our cards. I decided to go with Washi tape and used it on the cupcake wrapper as well as at the top of the card.  I'm loving how it turned out. I wanted to use the sentiment that comes with the card but then I couldn't decide on the placement so I've left it off.

Next week's challenge is a sketch !! This one is making me put my thinking cap on....

Warm hugs and big smiles

Hey there!!! Sorry about the late post... I turned the big 40 yesterday. Shocking, I know!! LOL!!! I may have had a few Black Widow martinis and I wasn't on the floor. LOL!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we had a great inspiration image to work with. I decided I wanted to go with a nice subtle colour combo to mimic the softness of the snow. For my card, I used a recent Sweet Sunday Sketch. I have used the sentiment from the newer set called Buddy and Jolly.

Next week is our last challenge of the year!!! Make sure you get your card in to Emily by Thursday evening to be included in the Friday post.

Soldiers dancing...

Hey there!! Can you believe that you'll get to see 2 cards from me all in a couple days time? That rarely happens these days. hahahaha. As soon as I saw the Freshly Made Sketch yesterday, I knew I wanted to play a little. What's even better is that it gave me an opportunity to get another Christmas card made. Go me!!! I decided to go with a Kraft and Red theme which seems so appropriate for Christmas, don't you think? I've stamped the image called 'Christmas Soldiers" from Stamping Bella onto Kraft paper with Close to Cocoa ink. I've also distressed the edges and sponged them with Close to Cocoa ink.

Another Christmas card down. Wahoo!!!

In the Air

You can really tell when the weather is miserable outside... Even with my Ott lites, I can't get a good photo of this card. Here's to hoping we'll get some sunshine soon. As soon as I saw this image from Stamping Bella called Bentley gets blown away  I knew I had to have her.  Then... I didn't use her. LOL!!! But now is the perfect time. I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I'm wishing I had thought to stamp the sentiment before I started colouring.... I realized it as soon as I was done colouring and by that point, I was afraid that I'd stamp the sentiment crooked and well I couldn't have that. LOL.

See you soon!!

Merry Christmas

Hi there!!! I received the new release from Stamping Bella recently and it has my mojo flowing again. Finally... LOL!!! (My mojo is back). i want to get some Christmas cards made so I decided to use  the sentiment from the new set called Christmas Soldiers and combined it with last week's Freshly Made Sketch. The sentiment has been stamped with Close to Cocoa ink and all of the edges of designer paper have been sponged with the same ink. I then added a Memory Box Snowflake. Hope you like it!!!

Mistletoe kisses

Every year I say I'm going to get my Christmas cards done early and it never happens so this year, I thought why not try? I figure if I keep them clean and simple, I can do it right? For this card, I have used the sentiment from the Stamping Bella set called "Eve under the Mistletoe". A Memory box die, red rhinestones, ribbon and voila, an easy cas card.

Wahoo!! 1 card down...

Say Cheese

Hi there!! I had a bit of fun last night playing with some of the journalling sets from Stamping Bella. For some reason, I have had this one brewing in my mind for awhile. For my card, I have used the sets called Blabbity Bla and Life Documented. I placed them on a large stamping block all over the place and then stamped with Archival Black ink. I then added a wooden veneer Polaroid frame to highlight the Say cheese sentiment. I'm kind of wishing I stamped that particular sentiment in a different colour.... Oh well....

5 o'clock somewhere....

LOL!!!! I had so much fun making this card. I wanted to go for a clean and simple look and loved what Steph did recently with the Polaroid frame from Stamping Bella. I stamped the frame onto my white cardstock and masked off the edge of it. I then stamped Madison has a margarita using Archival Black ink. I colored her up with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

An easy, clean and simple card.

Feeling Springy

I've been feeling Spring lately and I'm loving the weather we are finally having. So needless to say, it has me thinking about Sunshine and all the fun things I can finally do. For my first card today, I have used Sunshiny Flynn (it's currently out of stock... it was in stock when I made the card) and a recent Retro Sketch challenge. The image has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

For my second card, I wanted to go clean and simple using two different stamp sets. The sentiment comes from the latest release and is called Flower for a true friend. I have stamped the flower called Fluffy flower head with Rose Bud ink by Memento. I love how crisp the card looks and how the pink just pops.

Thanks for popping by!!!

Hi there!!! I had a little bit of free time to play yesterday so I decided to whip up this clean and simple card in hopes that Spring might decide to make an appearance. Most of the card has been made using a variety of dies. I then stamped the sentiment from the Stamping Bella set called "Flora the Cyclist".

Easy peasy, quick and easy!!

Be my nothing

I had a little itty bitty bit of free time yesterday so I decided to have a little bit of fun with this week's Freshly Made Sketch which was super clean and simple. I love how Stamping Bella has so many amazing sentiments to match their stamp sets so I have been trying to highlight how well the sentiments can stand alone on a card, sometimes making it so much more meaningful. I have used the sentiment from the set called "Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan under an umbrella".

Tomorrow is Bellarific Friday so I'll be back with another card then.
