EP- You are my Sunshine

I can't believe another month of 2012 has flown by.... Less than a month to Christmas which means only a couple of weeks to my birthday. LOL!!! I'm 29 plus a few.  With another month coming to an end, that also means that my time as the Guest Designer at Eclectic Paperie is also coming to an end.

For my card today, I went clean and relatively simple using the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I used two different stamp sets on my card today - one being my fave set I've used this month from Market Street Stamps called "Growth" and the other being a Wplus9 set called "The Birds and the Bees". I stamped one of the leave images from the Growth set in Versamark and then embossed it with Ranger Superfine clear embossing powder.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The DP I've used is from Basic Grey and is called Plumeria and the buttons are also Basic Grey Plumeria Vintage Buttons. I've attached some Twinery "Shore" twine to the button.

Thank you to Kim for having me on board this month!!! I've loved my time as Guest Designer :-)

Growth with Eclectic Paperie

I've been having so much fun this month has the Guest Designer at Eclectic Paperie and this week is no exception. I often am inspired by designer paper which would explain my addiction... err... obsession with it. LOL!!! If you only knew how many 6x6 paper pads I have.  My Mind's Eye always comes out with fabulous designer paper and when I saw "The Sweetest Thing: Honey" I knew I had to snatch it up.  I absolutely love the color combos in this pad.

I decided to make two projects for this week with this fantastic paper.

I enjoy making journals to give as gifts and thought that this paper combined with the Market Street Stamps set called "Growth" would be a perfect fit. I used a sketch (for the life of me, I can't remember where it is from) that I thought would highlight each aspect.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The flower is from Maya Road and is called Vintage Gauze Blossoms.  I thought about using re-inkers to change the color of it but I chickened out.

Here is my second project that I created using the same stamp set as well as the same papers.

I love how different each project looks.  I don't often create clean and simple cards but I think this DP called for it. I decided to change things up a bit for the card and used matting using Early Espresso cardstock.  The button I've used comes from the Basic Grey Plumeria Vintage buttons.

Thanks for popping by today :-)  I'll have another post shortly.

Fun news with Eclectic Paperie

Eeks!!!   I'm so excited to be the guest designer at Eclectic Paperie for the month of November. Let's just say I did a little happy dance when I got an email from Kim asking me to be the guest designer. And if you've ever seen me dance, it's not pretty. LOL!!!
I was so inspired by the box of goodies that Kim sent me that I didn't know where to start so I decided to go "pretty" with my card for today.
This card is truly my style. I love clean but with a lot of layers.
For my card, I started out with the Basic Grey Plumeria paper pad as my inspiration as well as a recent Viva la Verve sketch. The purple layer of DP was sponged along the edge with Memento Lulu Lavendar ink and the blue fishtail banners were sponged with Memento Bahama Blue ink. The sentiment on my card comes from the Market Street Stamps set called "Growth". I love this stamp set and know I'll be using it again soon. Isn't that flower fantastic too? Eeks!!! So pretty :-) I love pretty, LOL. The flower is called "Vintage Gauze blossom - Cream". I think I'll try to dye one with some re-inkers soon as I think it will be a really pretty look.
Thanks for popping by today!!! I'll be back each Wednesday throughout the month with some eye candy for you.

Have a great day!!!

ISSC15 Party Time!!!

I can't believe another week has flown by as quickly as it has. I've been creating a lot of stuff but nothing I can share with you yet (it's for the SCS Dirty Dozen gallery) so my blog my be quiet over the next few days.

In the mean time,  it's time for another sketch at iSpy Sketches.  This week's sketch is from Leanne W (From Leanne @ SCS) and is based on this card.

Now I have to admit something... that curved panel really threw me for a loop!! I wasted endless amounts of DP trying to get the curve right and then I had an aha moment!!! Tear the darn paper!!!

As you can see, I flipped the sketch (I'm such a rebel!!!LOL).  For my card, I used the Market Street Stamp set called "Tiki Time".  I stamped the versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I watercolored the images with Tombow Markers and then added some Diamond Stickles to the margarita glass.  Each of the layers have been distressed using my scissors (can't find my distressing tool, it's still packed up).  I also added some Brown Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel.

Here is how to play:

This week at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge, we're partnering up with the fantastic ladies at Market Street Stamps for a two day blog hop extravaganza.  And the eye candy you'll see, WOW!!!

For the next two days, the Market Street Stamps and Ribbon Carousel Designers, will be showcasing the amazing stamps from Market Street Stamps and the beautiful ribbons from RibbonCarousel.com.
And of course, we're giving away some AMAZING prizes!!!

It's an "Anything Goes" challenge at RCC and I had a LOT of fun with this card using the fantastic set called "Tiki Time".

For my card, I was inspired by the current "Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge".  I first stamped the margarita images in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then watercolored them with my Tombow Markers.  To add a bit of "Salt" to the glass, I used Diamond Stickles.  I've also used my favorite Black Jute Twine to finish off my card from the Ribbon Carousel. Add a few of the fantastic sentiments from the set and Voila... my card.
