A little rain...

A little rain is always better than a lot of snow... We rarely get snow here on the west coast and we just had three days of it this past week and we now have 40-60 centimeters in the forecast for this weekend... BOO!!! But I know that's not why you're here. You're here for Bellarific Friday right? This week we had a fantastic sketch to work with. For my card, I have used the Uptown Girl Lolly and her Brolly". The image has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I really like how this one turned out.

Next week's challenge is an inspiration pic.

There are so many things you can do with this pic!! I have some ideas brewing already.

Be my nothing

I had a little itty bitty bit of free time yesterday so I decided to have a little bit of fun with this week's Freshly Made Sketch which was super clean and simple. I love how Stamping Bella has so many amazing sentiments to match their stamp sets so I have been trying to highlight how well the sentiments can stand alone on a card, sometimes making it so much more meaningful. I have used the sentiment from the set called "Uptown Couple Emily and Ryan under an umbrella".

Tomorrow is Bellarific Friday so I'll be back with another card then.

You're too sweet.

Hi there!! Oh my goodness, you don't know how happy I was to wake up to see sunshine today after 3 consecutive days of snow. I know those of you on the east coast are probably wanting to tell me to shut up, but it sucked!! The snow storm hadn't been in the forecast so it came as a shocker and then it just didn't want to stop. To top it off, yesterday our power went out three times.  So what else can a girl do but get crafty.  I loved seeing this week's Desconstructed Sketch so I knew I had to play along. For my card, I have used the Stamping Bella Uptown Girl called  "Claudia has a candy". I have stamped the image in Archival Black ink and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The DP is a mixture of MME and Bella Blvd.

Don't forget you have a few days left to get your Bellarific Friday card to Em.

A little sunshine

Hi there!!! Did you see that the entire Stamping Bella release is up on the site now??? OMG!!! I have all the new Uptownies. Senior-itas and the close-ups on their way to my house. LOVE THEM!!! I'm sure this release will sell out quickly.

On another note, it's my fave day of the week, Bellarific Friday. This week's challenge was to use either ribbon or washi tape on my card. I decided to get a little creative with my washi tape to create sun rays. I folded over each piece of washi tape and then used my square punch to create the fishtail look. Love it!!! I've used the sentiment from "Uptown Girl Sunny is Stylish".

Next week's challenge is a Sketch.

Ready for Spring

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! Now I'm sure you expected a lovey dovey card today but I decided to go a different route. We've had snow recently and it's been cold, so all I can look forward to is Spring when you can enjoy the nicer days. This week at Stamping Bella, we had a fantastic sketch to work with.  I have used the set called "Uptown Girl Pippa Loves to Plant".  She has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

We have a new Bella Babe joining the team and wow!!! She can colour!! Tracy MacDonald is a rockstar!!!

Next week's challenge is to use either washi tape or ribbon. Easy peasy!!!

Sending a little love

Hey there!!! I actually had some free  time this weekend to get a little crafty - gotta love a long weekend (although I did work on Saturday).  As soon as I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I wanted to play with this fab Stamping Bella image called "Uptown Girl Lucille Sends her Love". I have stamped her with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I will definitely be using this sketch again. If you can believe it, I've already made my card for Bellarific Friday as well. Wahoo!!!

And now I'm off to play with some of my Annie Sloan Chalk paint!! Wish me luck!!
