Surf's up

You have to love happy mail :-)  I got a package of goodies from Stamping Bella last week and yesterday I had the opportunity to get inky.  I had a lot of fun making this card. My brother and his friends love to surf so this stamp was a "must have" in my collection.    I created the sand by sponging Creamy Caramel and then Close to Cocoa ink.  The clouds were created using Soft Sky ink.  The image called "Surfafella" was stamped in Archival Black ink and was colored using my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I've been wanting to play with them a bit more so that I feel more comfortable when I use them.  Let's just say I have a slew of tutorials that I've pinned on Pinterest so that I can learn.

TSG - I Love you

I had a little bit of free time this morning before heading off to work so I decided I HAD to play along with this week's Deconstructed Sketch. I knew as soon as I saw the sketch that I wanted to create a Valentine's Day card using the hearts from Spellbinders.  I did the hearts in two different sizes and the edges of each were sponged with corresponding ink colors (Rose Bud and Pink Pirouette).  I then created the main image panel using the TSG set called "Sentimental".  Perfect for Valentine's Day!!

Thanks for popping by!! I'll have one more card this month :-)

Let the sunshine in

The weather has been chilly and gloomy the last couple of weeks so I decided I need a little bit of sunshine. May as well make it myself, right?  I'm just hoping the sun starts shining again soon.  I've made this card for the current Freshly Made Sketch that I am squeaking under the wire with.  My most recent batch of Stamping Bella stamps arrived in the mail on Friday so I decided to ink up the sentiment from the stamp called "Sunshiny Flynn". The sun was created using the Sun Dienamic from MFT.  I sponged the edges with Dandelion Memento Ink.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Waving Hello...

Wow, has it ever been a busy week on my blog.  No complaints though, right?  LOL!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we were given a sketch to work with. I really like the sketch because it makes the image be your focal point, no muss, no fuss, just good old fun!!

For my card, I decided to ink up "Addy'tude" which I absolutely love. The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I have also added some Diamond Stickles to her earrings.  I added some blue highlighting around the image to make it pop.

Next week's challenge is"You are so sweet".  My wheels are already turning for this one :-)

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations and what the sistah's did with the sketch.  Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella for a chance to win some Bella Bucks

Let's Get Cuddly

Hi there!!! My schedule is kind of all over the place this week but believe it or not,  it's given me a bit of time to get creative.  This week at "Bellatastic Tuesday" at SCS, we are challenging you to get "Lovey Dovey".  For my card, I've used "Cuddly Owlies"  which is currently out of stock. I didn't realize that until after I had my card made. OOPS!!  I stamped the image onto Kraft Cardstock with Black Archival Ink and  used my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to color the image.  I've been playing with my Prismas this week and I'm realizing two things (1) I love using them and (2) I need to practice more with them.

Make sure you check out the new challenge over at SCS.

TSG Sneak Peek - Doxie with Moxie

It's that time of the month again... No, not that one!!! It's time for There She Goes release!!! One of my fave times of the month. It’s no secret, we are DEFINITELY in love with everything Torico does here are There She Goes, and we know you are, too. This month she has honored us by creating a set that we have been begging for…meet The Doxie with Moxie!! SUPER cute dachshunds, along with several sentiments, outfits, and even a city scene for our more “elegant” pups, this set is just TOO much fun.

Isn't he handsome?  This wiener is already for  a night out!! LOL!. I had so much fun making this card using the current Deconstructed Sketch. For my card,  I decided to pull out my totally neglected Prismacolor Pencils and my Gamsol and went to work.  I love the way Prismas look on Kraft.  Hope you like it!!

The Doxie with Moxie is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 32 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

When brainstorming The Doxie with Moxie set, there was a lot of chatter about sentiments…and some of them took a turn for the funny, but…risqué, lol! We couldn’t live without them, so we decided to create the Size Matters set. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely funny!!
Size Matters is a 3x4 set that includes 7 stamps for $9.00.

Full of Love

Hi there everyone!!! I'm back with my Bellarific Friday post for Stamping Bella. This week, we had an inspiration challenge where you could pick anything from the photo to be inspired by.  And I have to admit, I  was completely inspired!!!

Have I ever mentioned I love the Uptown Girls line at Stamping Bella?  For my card, I have used the image called "Uptown Girls Lucille Sends here Love". I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I have also shaded some areas of the image with a black Pastel Chalk pencil.  See the ribbon?  Yup, it's covering up a boo-boo!!

Next week, we have a sketch challenge :-)

Email your entries to Emily at Stamping Bella by the end of Thursday 24th January to be in with a chance of winning some Bella Bucks.

Make sure you also upload to the SCS Gallery using the keyword stampingbella, and you might also see your card featured on our Pinterest board.

Have you seen the new Stamping Bella Blinkie??? Love it!!! We'd love it if you added it to your blog :-)

Hi there everyone!!! I've been having fun making cards this week and this one is no exception.  Each month at There She Goes we have what we call "There She Goes Again" week where we highlight some of our older sets.  This month we are highlighting:

For my card, I decided to use the set called "Special Delivery". I was inspired by the mixture of DP from Bella Blvd, Pebbles, and Crate Paper.  The image has been stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.

Thanks for popping by!! Head on over to the TSG blog to check out all the eye candy that the DT has created.

Flowers anyone?

Can you tell I'm ready for Spring?  I'm so tired of the cold and wet this winter... It normally doesn't bother me but I think this lingering cold I have is making me long for Spring.

I have made this card for the current Bellatastic Tuesday challenge which is called "A picture is worth 1000 words".  We are challenging you to create a card that is sentiment free.  Let the image do the talking :-)  For my card, I've used the Stamping Bella stamp called "Patsy Pixie".  This image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and watercolored with Tombow Markers. I then did a  little bit of shading with a pastel chalk pencil.  The layout is last week's Freshly Made Sketch

TSG190 From the heart

Hi there!!! As soon as I saw this week's TSG challenge, I knew I wanted to go clean and simple.  This week, it is all about "Love is in the Air".  I didn't want to go traditional in terms of a Valentine's Day card but instead wanted to create a set of cards that could be used for any purpose. I always find I'm in need of a 'Thinking of you' card or just a quick and simple thank you card.  This is perfect!!! For my card, I've used the current Retro Sketch challenge. For my card, I have used last year's Echo Park "Yours Truly" and the sentiment is from the TSG set called "Everyday Greetings".  I then added some clear rhinestones to finish off the card.

Thanks for popping by!!!

Happy beer day....

LOL!!! I have had so many laughs this weekend with family and friends as we celebrated my brother's 40th birthday.  We had an amazing weekend full of fun and laughter and memories that will last forever.

I made this card for my brother's birthday using the Stamping Bella image called "Beer Peep".  I wanted something that would be lively and fun just like my old brother... Oops... did I mention her turned 40?  We've been bugging him about it all weekend because he's the oldest out of all the family in terms of cousins etc.  The DP is a mixture of Pebbles and Crate Paper.  The image has been watercolored with Tombow markers.

I'll be back more throughout the week.  Have a great day!!!

Winter Cutie Pie

Isn't she fabuous??? As soon as I saw this new set from TSG called "Sparkly and Bright", I knew I was in love.  The weather has been cold here the last couple of weeks so I wanted to create a bright springy card (even if this cutie pie is wearing a winter coat). The DP for my card is a recent Crate Paper line but I'm not sure of its' name.  Maybe it's my attempt to bring on Spring.. LOL. The layout for my card is the current Retro Sketch challenge. The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.
