Just Dance

Hi there!!! It's been a busy week on my blog and I've finally had a chance to sit down to play with my new goodies from Stamping Bella. I have been wanting to get into mixed media and finally bought a bit of stuff to play around with it.  The silhouette images from Stamping Bella work perfectly for this. I decided to use the images called Happy Silhouettes.  I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used Distress inks and Gelatos with a little bit of Inkagold. I then spritzed each of the silhouettes with some Dylusions sprays. I love how bright it turned out although I definitely know that I need more practice with this whole mixed media thing.

It's a little Chilly

Hi there!!! It's a little chilly here. LOL!!! If only... We've finally been lucky enough to get some gorgeous weather here so I'm not complaining.  It's Bellarific Friday and this week's challenge was "Christmas in July".  I decided to make a wintery card instead of a Christmas card by using Quinn in her Boots and have colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I think my Tombows and Distress markers are feeling a little lonely lately. My card also works for the Merry Monday Anything Goes challenge :-)

Next week's challenge is a sketch challenge that I'm absolutely in love with.

We'd love for you to play along so make sure you get your submission in to Emily by Thursday July 25th to be eligible for some Bella bucks!!

If only... beach time

Hi there!!! If only I looked like that on a beach right?  Never going to happen!!! Although the drink definitely could. As soon as I saw this week's Color Throwdown challenge, I knew what I wanted to do but just had to actually sit down and get it done. LOL!!! The paper line called "The Pier" from Crate Paper is perfect for this challenge.

For my card, I used the new image from Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Sandy and her Sombrero. The image was stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  Easy Peasy!!!

Have a great day :-)

Wahoo!!!  This week we had a sketch to work with and believe it or not, I didn't change anything.  I picked up the new Echo Park Beautiful Life this week so I knew I wanted to use it on my card.  I've used the Stamping Bella image from the set called Arthur and Annie. I've colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and then cut it out so I could pop it up.

TSG215 Something to Crow about

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by Karin! She has challenged us to make a card or project creating a scene using animals! TSG has so many sets that include animals, this should be an easy one.

I had so much fun making this card using the TSG set called Poultry in Motion.  I have stamped the images with Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current Retro sketch

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a NEW card or project using this week’s challenge, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 15th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG215 so we can check out your beautiful work!

CAS Congratulations

Hi there!! Sorry my blog has been so quiet. I think I mentioned it last week that work has been crazy and I've come home absolutely exhausted every day.  So I've had very little time to get crafty. I had a tiny bit of time this morning before I head off to work so I decided to make a very CAS card that uses the Memory Box die called Chloe Stem. I've combined it with the sentiment that comes from the Stamping Bella set called "Uptown Girls Brett and Brenda get Married".  Easy peasy!!! I love the combination of colors and think it really packs a punch.

I'm hoping I can get crafty a little bit tonight after I get home from work.  Wish me luck...

Create your own sunshine

Hi there!! I hope you all had a great Canada Day and for my American readers, a great 4th of July.  It's been  a quiet week on my blog because it's been crazy at work and I've been too tired when I get home.  It's Friday so we all know what that means, it's Bellarific Friday. This week's challenge is all about "Button it up".  Of course, I decided I wanted to do something a little different than just putting buttons on a card. So I decided to create a sun to match the sentiment from the set called "Uptown Girl Sunny is Stylish". I thought this would be a quick and easy clean and simple card.... quick, not so much!!! I think it may have taken me longer than a fancy card. LOL!! Oh well, I love the look of it anyway.

Next week's challenge is a sketch challenge.

Remember to email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella and you could win some bella bucks!
