Last bit of summer

My blog has been so quiet... Work has been insane which means no crafty time for this girl!! I need my crafty time. LOL!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we had  a great inspiration colour challenge and I went with it. The colours scream summer to me so I had to use the image called Samantha and Sierra take a selfie. I then used the sentiment from the set called Madison has a  margarita. The layout for my card is the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge

Next week's challenge is a sketch designed by me!!!!

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Stamping Bella meets Cardmaker

Hi there!!! Today is a fun day for Stamping Bella. The Bella babes have paired up with the fantastic team at Cardmaker for a fun blog hop. If you just happened upon my blog, you'll want to head back to the Cardmaker blog which is the beginning of the hop.

For my card today, I've decided to use one of my favorite characters from the Woodsies Collection, Petunia!! She absolutely makes me smile!! This particular image is called Petunia thinks she's a prezzie. I've coloured the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The layout for my card has been adapted from the current Sweet Sunday sketch challenge

You'll want to grab a cup of java, sit down and enjoy the fantastic blog hop!!! The next stop along the way is Chitra's blog

Make sure you check out the Stamping Bella blog as well!! There's a $25 gift certificate up for grabs!!! Who doesn't love Bella bucks?

Never forget

Hi there!! So did you all love the fantastic new release at Stamping Bella?? I'll admit it, I ordered almost the entire release. This week at Stamping Bella, we had another anything goes challenge so I decided to go searching online for a great sketch and found the current Sweet Sunday sketch. For my card, I have used the Big Words set called Sometimes People Forget. This particular set comes with two sentiments so I decided to use the smaller one. It was stamped with Archival black ink and then sponged with Pink Pirouette.

This month at Stamping Bella our "stamp of the month" is ALL of the Big Words sets!!! They are 20% off all month long!!! SO make sure you check them out!!

Next week's challenge is "Anything but a card"!!

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Flowers for Spring

Hey there!!! I know I shouldn't be complaining about the weather but I'm so glad it has finally stopped raining on the West coast and it's been dry for a few days.  Don't throw snowballs at me k??? This week at Stamping Bella, our challenge is all about Flowers!! We wanted to see flowers on your cards.  For my card, I decided to use the Uptown Girl image called Pippa Loves to Plant. The layout for my card is the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge

Next week's challenge is a sketch!! Check it out.

Spit Happens

Welcome to another Bellarific Friday. We're all getting excited about the upcoming release.  I can't wait!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we had a great colour challenge as shown below. Isn't it fab??? At first the colours scared me but a quick look through my DP and I found some DP that would work great. To me, the colours scream boy so I decided to use the image called Spit Happens. This cute little guy has been coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. Go me!!

Next week's challenge is a sketch challenge. Check it out!!!

Gracie's a cutie

Hi there!!! It's a new year and there are so many fun things happening at Stamping Bella this year!!! It's our first Bellarific Friday of the year and we are so excited about the things happening. First off, we want to introduce another fabulous Bella babe. A big 'Bella-welcome' to Kerri - check out her gorgeous creations on her blog here

You'll also notice that the entire team is using the same image today. Wanna know why??? We now have a featured stamp of the month and this month we are featuring Gracie.  We get to highlight an awesome stamp (who are we kidding? All of the stamps are awesome) and you get a ton of inspiration. With that being said, the featured stamp is 20% off for the entire month!!

So, lets get on to our first challenge of 2015.  This week the challenge was "anything goes", so that was an easy one to start off another wonderful year of stamping! For my card, I have used Gracie along with the current Sweet Sunday sketch challenge. I'm trying to make a bigger commitment this year to do more sketches. I've coloured Gracie with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I also paper pieced her dress for a bit of fun to match the DP.

Next week's challenge is a sketch!!!

Don't forget you have until Thursday evening to get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com.  All that we ask is that you use a current image (just type in the stamp name in the search bar)..

See you soon!!!

Puppy Love

Hey there!!! I hope you've all been enjoying the Labour Day weekend. It's so nice for me to get my days off back to back so I'm a happy camper :-)  As soon as I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I had to play. Of course, I couldn't leave things alone so I made it vertical rather than horizontal.  For the image, I have used the fun image from Stamping Bella called Butch and Mimi. I used a valentine's line from this past year (not sure of the line, sorry).  I kept a sentiment off the card so that I could figure it out when I actually give the card away.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Who knew new paper could get your mojo flowing again? LOL!!! As soon as I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I had to play. For my card, I have used the Huggabugg from Stamping Bella called "Cracked up Huggabugg". I love how bright and fun the card feels.

I'll be back in the next few days with a fun new card for you!!

I got the new releases in the mail last week so of course, I had to ink one of them up.  I knew I wanted to use the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, so I decided to ink up Paisley has a Prezzie".

We have some fun news to share!!! We have another Bella Babe joining the team today!! Cheryl Valadez!!!

Next week's challenge is a sketch :-)

Sending a little love

Hey there!!! I actually had some free  time this weekend to get a little crafty - gotta love a long weekend (although I did work on Saturday).  As soon as I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I wanted to play with this fab Stamping Bella image called "Uptown Girl Lucille Sends her Love". I have stamped her with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I will definitely be using this sketch again. If you can believe it, I've already made my card for Bellarific Friday as well. Wahoo!!!

And now I'm off to play with some of my Annie Sloan Chalk paint!! Wish me luck!!

A little bling

Hey there!! It's been another quiet week on my blog... Tons of stuff going on that are occupying my time. I miss my craft desk!!! But I'm getting healthy and that's more important. I'm doing a run/walk clinic where by the end of it I will be doing intervals of 10 minutes running and 1 minute walking 3 times. I'm also eating healthy and I don't miss the crap.  I even walked past my favorite Cheezies at the grocery store tonight!!!

I love this week's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge so I knew I needed to play along and of course, I flipped it to fit the image I wanted to use. I have had this cutie pie called 'Groovy Bride-abella" for awhile so I inked her up. I have colored her with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol and added some Diamond Stickles to her her ring.

Hope you like it!! See you Friday.

Let's get buzzy...

Oh my goodness.... I've had this card made since the weekend and I keep forgetting to post it. I got a great Stamping Bella haul in the mail last week so I decided to have a little fun with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I bought some DP from my LSS shortly before Christmas (I think the line is called Rough and Tumble from Carta Bella) and thought it would be perfect to use it with the Buzzy Huggabugg which is currently on sale. The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I then added some Diamond Stickles to his wings.

Thanks for popping by!!! I'll be back on Friday with my Bellarific Friday post.

Artsy House Christmas style

Hi there!!! I think I'm getting close to be Christmas carded out on my blog.... On to other things soon, I promise!!! I haven't had the time to play along with the Sweet Sunday sketch challenges recently so I decided it was about time I got my butt in gear and played along... And now as I look at my card, I realized I missed an element of the sketch!!! Oopsy!! Oh  well!

I decided to use the Stamping Bella set called "Artsy House" which I now realize is currently out of stock... Sorry about that....As soon as it's back in stock, I'll make sure I provide the link.  I've paired it with one of Studio Calico's Christmas lines from last year. Have you noticed I'm using a lot of old papers lately? I realized I'm a paper hoarder so I am trying to use some of my older papers so I can justify buying new ones.

Don't forget Emily currently has a sale going on!! Use the code blackfriday2013 to get 30% off.

Happy Halloween

Hi there!!! Happy Halloween everyone!!! I made this card earlier on this week but knew I wanted to save it until today so that I could wish you all a happy halloween.  For my card, I have used Trick-or-treataritas from Stamping Bella. Aren't they hilarious??? I can't decide if I'm the short squat one or the witch? Maybe it depends on my mood... LOL!  I stamped the image with Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge that I flipped to make the image work better.

Did you notice that Em hates the colder weather???? She's have a "just because" sale as a result so everything in the store is 20% off!!! Just use the code novembersale in the store.

Fishing Time...

Hi there!!! I've had this card made for awhile but I couldn't post it until after my stepdad's birthday. Okay, who are we kidding??? I made it the day of his birthday but forgot to post it. LOL!!! I'm bad, I know!!! For my card, I used a recent Sweet Sunday sketch challenge because it was perfect for the image. I've used "Fishafella" from Stamping Bella on my card which was stamped using Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Believe it or not, I used some Simple Stories Christmas DP that I had left over from last year, perfect for a man's card!!! I distressed the edges of each of the panels and then sponged with Chocolate Chip Ink.

I have one more card for the month so I'll see you Thursday!! Have a great day!

Brynn and her baby shower

Hi there!!! I'm back... and I'm sick. Yuck!!! It's one of those hazards when you work with kids - the germs!!! I've been down and out for a few days now but decided to color up Brynn and her Baby shower from Stamping Bella yesterday while I was on the couch watching TV.  I must say that she's one of my fave Uptown Girls!! I had been thinking for awhile that there wasn't a pregnant Uptown Girl and then Emily released one the same month.  ESP!!!  Once I saw the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew it would be what I'd use for my layout.  Let's just say this simple card took two days to come together...

Here's to hoping I feel better tomorrow.

All about Love...

I sat down over the weekend to make some cards and I'm only getting around to posting them now.  For my first card, I decided to use the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge (which I altered slightly).  I bought this Bella Blvd DP over the summer and thought it was perfect to use with this image called "Uptown Girls Brett and Brenda get married". The image was stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

For my second card, I decided to go clean and simple with no DP. Me??? I made a card with no DP - can you believe it? LOL!!! I love how striking this card looks with its' combination of colors. The sentiment comes from the set  "Uptown Girls Brett and Brenda get married".

Thanks for popping by!!

She's a snow bunny!!

I had a bit of free time this morning (aka I'm procrastinating from getting things done around the house) so I decided to play along with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I was trying to create the card from memory (in other words,  I didn't take my iPad into my craft room) so I changed up the placement of the fishtail banners.  For my card, I have used "Snowbunnybella" from Stamping Bella. I have loved this image forever but I only just recently got it. It's one of the fantastic stamps I got in the mail last week. Wahoo!! I love new stamps to play with.  LOL!!! I plan to play a bit more today with my stamps so you'll be seeing more from me this week :-)

Glass half full

I think it's been one of those weeks where my glass has been half full... now if only I had the time to drink the wine that's in it. LOL!!! As soon as I saw the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I had to play. I've had Opal the Optimist in my stash from Stamping Bella since shortly after it came out but it's the first time inking it up.  It's a travesty, I know... I stamped her in Archival Black ink and then colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The DP is a mixture of MME and Pebbles.  Hope you like it!!! I'll have more cards over the next few days.

Have a great day!!

A martini every now and then....

Today was all about procrastinating... which meant rather than packing, I decided to play :-)  I must admit playing with my stamps was so much more fun!!! I've been inspired by so many challenges I've been seeing in blog land lately that I knew I wanted to play.  I came across a new challenge blog called the Fusion Card Challenge and they had a fantastic inspiration pic. So I decided to pair up the inspiration pic with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Shhhhh\!!! Don't tell anyone that I screwed up the sketch a bit, let's called it creative licence k?

I loved the colors and decided to have some fun with this DP from Glitz Design.  The image is called Cosmobella from Stamping Bella. I didn't realize it was out of stock when I colored it up. OOPS!!! I love making journals and this one was no exception. I thought it would be great to fill with fabulous summer drinks.

Thanks for popping by!!!
