MFTWSC95 Powder Time

It's rare that I have "fun" stampy time where I am creating without a commitment lately.  So when I had a bit of free time this week, I knew I had to play with this week's MFT sketch Challenge.  If you can believe it, this is the first time that this a la Mode called "Ski Bunny". I love this line of stamps from MFT because they're always so sassy and cute.  I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I also paper pieced the skis.  The DP is a mixture of Glitz Design and MME.  I'm loving the "snow" I created using Stampendous "Shaved Ice".  I think I may quickly become addicted to it for my upcoming holiday cards.

Thanks for popping by :-)

ISSC39 Merry Christmas

Eeks!!! I'm so excited!! This week's sketch at iSpy Sketches features  Maureen Plut (Irishlatte at SCS) and is inspired by this card. I have long been an admirer of Maureen's style so when I found out we were featuring her, I did a little happy dance.

I went shopping with fellow Special Agent Kim Teasdale last week and picked up some new goodies including the die used below on my card.

The "Christmas Tree Stacker" die is from Dee's Distinctively Dies that I purchased at my local stamp store.  They are actually designed to be layers of the same tree but I loved the idea of creating three separate trees.  I then inked the edges of each with Old Olive ink.  The sentiment comes from the TSG set called "Holiday Tags".

Check out what the DT has created :-)

Have your cake...

Are you ready to have your cake and eat it too?  LOL!!! Isn't she a cutie pie?  I made this card for the May Dirty Dozen gallery (it was a chocolate theme)  at Splitcoaststampers.  The image I used on this card is Little Peep's Birthday Cake by Stamping Bella. The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  Who doesn't love a nice cake with vanilla icing?? Yummo!!

ISSC38 Happy Halloween

WOW!!! I can't believe how quickly this month has flown by.  It's been a busy one so this is a two-fer post. LOL!! I'm combining this month's TSGA card with the current  iSpy Challenge.  This week at iSpy, we are featuring Rosemary D. (rosigrld at SCS) and is inspired by this card.

Love this sketch!!! Love, love, love!!!

Eeks!!! Isn't she way too cute!! I've used the TSG set called "Hauntingly Delightful" which is one of my favorite TSG sets.  I've stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I normally do a cloud background with blue but with purple instead to give it a bit more eery look.

Thanks for popping by.

TSG177 Fall Fun

This week at There She Goes, our challenge is brought to us by Our Trendsetters! We are challenging you to make a card or project with a Fall/Halloween theme!

I had so much fun making this card using the current Deconstructed Sketch. The image from the set "Pumpkins on the Vine" was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with a combination of Tombow Markers and Distress Markers.  I cut out the image and popped it up on the circle panel which was sponged creating a sky background. The sentiment is from the set called "Autumn Mosaic".

ISSC37 Let's Chill

Can you believe how busy my blog's been this week?  It's definitely a sign my mojo has been found after a long hiatus. LOL!!! It's so nice to be back creating again on a consistent basis.

I also took a bit of a break from iSpy Sketches but I'm glad to be back playing again with all of the fun sketches.

This week's sketch is  by Jean Cross (naturecoastcrafter at SCS) and is inspired by this card.

I loved this sketch but wanted to make it my own..... Surprise right? LOL!!!

My parents recently came back after a two month vacation and they picked up some fun goodies for me on their travels.  I couldn't wait to ink up Swanky Snowdudes from Paper Smooches for my card today. I stamped the smaller snowman and then masked it so that I could add the larger snowman.  Both were embossed with clear embossing powder and watercolored with Tombow Markers.

Now pop on over to the iSpy blog to see what wonderful eye candy the DT created.

TSG176 Inspiration Challenge

This week, the challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by me!!! I am challenging YOU to make a card or project using the provided inspiration photo!!

For my card, I originally was going to go with a Winter theme but my creativity took me in a completely different direction.  It's amazing how that works sometimes right?

For my card, I decided to use the TSG set called "When I Grow Up".  I still went with the colors from the inspiration picture and made sure I used some Chevron DP to mimic the lines.  The image was watercolored with a combination of Tombow Markers (skin)  and Distress markers (everything else).  I'm looking forward to getting to play with the Distress markers more.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (October 15th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Hang around for a spell

Eeks!!! Halloween is just around the corner (well almost a month away).... I have made this card for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge which was a sketch. It's been awhile since I've had the opportunity to play in their challenges but I have always loved them. I don't pull out my Stamping Bella stamps nearly often enough (believe it or not, I've had this stamp for over 2 years and it has never seen ink).  The stamp I've used is "King of the Wild Things". It has been watercolored with Tombow Markers.

I work all weekend but I'm hoping to play in some of the World Card Making Day challenges out in the blogosphere.

Have a great weekend!!! Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all of my Canadian friends.
