DTGD12Jellybean74

This year,I am enjoying  the Dare to Get Dirty challenges in a different way, mainly because I'm doing it from the "other" side as current Dirty Dozen. It has been so much fun seeing everything happen behind the scenes.

I have made this card for my challenge :-).  Eeks!!! I'm super excited to be hosting my own challenge.  It's a fun challenge (although one of my sample makers may have cursed me a little LOL).  Make sure you head on over to this thread to check out my challenge.

For my card, I have used the MFT set called "Disco Queen" that I have had since shortly after it came out but sadly it hadn't seen ink yet. Sad I know.... The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  The DP is a combination of Basic Grey and MME.

The large photo of my card doesn't show the disco ball in as much detail as I wanted so here's a close up of the Diamond Stickles I put on it to add  a little bling.

Thanks for dropping by and make sure you head on over to SCS to check out all the DTGD details (if you're not a Fan Club member yet, you'll definitely want to be).

That's what being a dirty girl is all about.

Guess what else is cool... Stampendous featured this card on their FB page earlier today.  Super excited about it!!

ISSC26 Talk nerdy to me

WOW!!! This has been one busy week especially with the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at SCS just around the corner. Have you been enjoying the TSG sneak peeks as well this week?

We all know the reason you're here... this week's iSpy sketch which is from Therese Calvird and is based on this card.

Easy sketch eh?  I love it!! Although I must admit, this one had me stumped for a LONG time.  I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it and then I had an aha moment.  Or should I say I slapped my own forehead moment?  LOL.

For my card, I was inspired by the new "Sunny Side" DP from Pebbles that I bought at my LSS recently. The image is an a la Mode image called "Talk Nerdy to Me" from MFT. The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with my Tombow Markers.  I think this card would be perfect for a back to school gift.

Now head on over to the iSpy blog to check out what the DT has created!!!

Have a great day!!!

TSG Sneak Peek - Enjoy Life

Eeks!!! Day 3 of Sneak peeks for this month's TSG release.  WOWZA!!! So much fun!!!

No sweeter treat, or better way to Enjoy Life in the summer time than an ice cream cone, am I right? Well, Torico has made a FABULOUS set of mix and match patterns of ice cream, and their cones, for you to custom make your own YUMMY treats! And even better, we have custom made our own Die’s to go along with this FABULOUS set!!! They are a set of three dies including two ice cream tops, measuring at approximately 1 1/4" and 1", and one cone measuring at 1 1/8".

For my card, I have used both the dies and stamps from "Enjoy Life".  I stamped on the brown and pink DP in Versamark ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Both were then cut out using the co-ordinating dies. LOVE them!!!

Enjoy Life is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 11 stamps and will sell for $10.00.
The Enjoy Life dies will sell separately for $8.25.
Would you like to win the new Enjoy Life stamp set and matching Dies? Eeks!!! Isn't he fantastic?? This is a great set!  I colored this image up a couple of weeks ago and knew automatically I'd be using this DP. Have you ever noticed I have a thing for Polkadots?

TSG Sneak Peek - Maidbot

Eeks!!! Can you believe it's sneak peek time already for this month's TSG sneak peeks? We have some fantastic sets for you this month!!!

Another FUN addition to her SUPER CUTE robot line, Torico is back with this month’s Maidbot. I know we all WISH we had one, and well, now you SORT OF do!!!! Imagine the fun cards and scrapbook pages you can make with this cutie, and her cleaning tools!

I colored this image while I was hanging out with a few of the trendsetters while at our fearless leader Jessica Knutsen's house earlier this month.  I normally pick my DP's first but on our getaway I decided to spend my entire time coloring... lesson learned.  So much easier to pick DP first!!! LOL!!! I ended up having a hard time finding DP that would work with how I colored my image but overall, I like how it turned out.
Maidbot is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 6 stamps and will sell for $7.00.

Would you like to win the new Maidbot stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

ISSC25 - Snowy Days...

I've had a fairly busy week (I know I was procrastinating yesterday) so I decided to combine my card for There She Goes Again week (where we highlight some older TSG sets) and my ISpy challenge card.

Here is this week's iSpy sketch that I based my card upon.  This week we are featuring Elzbieta B. (crazysexycool @ SCS) and is based on this card

For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Snowy Days" for the sentiment.  The snowflakes were created using the MFT Snowflake die.

Pop on over to the iSpy blog to check out what the DT has in store for you!!!

MFTWSC81 Let's get Wild

Eeks!!! Isn't she too cute?? I was away at a crafty get away with a few girlfriends recently and one of the girls had this fantastic MFT a la Mode girl called "On Safari" so of course I had to ink it up and watercolor it up.  I had a bit of free time today (aka I'm procrastinating... who wants to do laundry anyway right???) so when I saw this week's MFT sketch challenge, I knew I had to whip up a card.

Hope you like it!!!

Have a great day!

ISSC24 I'm thinking Winter...

Eeks!!! I had so much fun on my girls trip to Jessica Knutsen's with Kim Teasdale and Tobi Crawford.  We had a blast stamping for 4 days and doing a bit of crafty shopping. I colored up oodles of images and now that I'm home I'm creating cards with them.

It's that time of the week - the iSpy Challenge. Yeah!!!  This week, we are featuring Shari Carroll and is based on this card. Let's just say Shari's card is phenomenal and will leave you seeing spots.

This sketch is awesome!!! Leave it clean and simple or do what I did... layer it up!!!

I altered the sketch just a teensy bit...I didn't add all the circles because my circles were too big.  For the DP, I've used an older MME pad called "Merry Little Christmas" that I bought when I was in the US.  I'm not a traditional girl when it comes to Christmas colors so this paper pad was right up my alley.  I've used an old CHF Kim Hughes set called "Winter Trees" that I watercolored with my Tombow Markers. I experimented quite a bit with my coloring while I was away so you may notice a bit of a change with some of my upcoming cards. The sentiment comes from the TSG set called "Wonderful Winter Wishes".

We'd love for you to join us so hop on over to the iSpy blog to check out what the DT has created and for details on how to participate!!

You're hauntingly delightful...

Hi there!!! I've been away for a few days with some of my crafty friends so I haven't been posting (we'll be heading home tonight) and there will be a LOT of fun cards coming up on my blog soon as a result.  It's amazing how your mojo cann flow when you're surrounded by crafty people.

Last week, I was the 'Trendsetter of the week' at the TSG blog and this is what I created for my Stampbook Saturday post.  I recently found this picture of my husband and I of us on our first Halloween after we got married. I thought it would make the perfect stampbook page.  I'm loving it.

For my layout, I created a bunch of fishtail banners for a bit of extra dimension.  The set that I've used for the sentiments as well as for the mummy that I watercolored are from "Hauntingly Delightful".

Have a great day!!

Onto this week's iSpy Challenge. This week, we are featuring Gisèle Whittaker(gmw1612 @ SCS) and is based on this card.

As you can see, I flipped the sketch... I wanted to use one of the MFT a la Modes so I chose to use "Fight Like a Girl".  I have watercolored the image with Tombow Markers (I'm sure you're surprised with that...). The DP is a mixture of Bella Blvd, Echo Park and MME.

TSG163 Fly Away with Me

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, ME!!!! I am challenging YOU to make a card or project using the provided photo for inspiration…isn’t if GORGEOUS!!! The thing we love the most about Inspiration challenges is that the possibilities are endless…so let your imagination run wild!!

As soon as I found the inspiration pic, I knew there were so many possibilities in terms of stamp set choices for this challenge. I decided to get inky with "Aim for The Clouds". I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black, embossed it will clear embossing powder and then I watercolored with Tombow Markers. I masked off the two hot air balloons and I sponged a cloud background using Soft Sky Ink.  For my card, I used an MFT dienamic to mimic the scalloped curtains in the pic.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the inspiration photo and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 9th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery.
