A little sunshine

Hi there!!! Sorry my blog went quiet this week.  I missed a couple of stairs over the weekend and ended up falling on my left wrist which sucks considering I'm a leftie!! Call me a KLUTZ with a capital K.  LOL!!! It's feeling better now which I'm thankful about.  This week at Stamping Bella, we had a sketch to follow which I almost followed... I left off one of the layers because it wasn't working with the image I wanted to use.  I've had this fabulous girl called Little Umbrella in my stash for awhile now and I'm only just inking her up.  She was stamped using Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  Loving it!!!

Next week's challenge is called "For my Sistahs" which is all about Friendship!!! Make  a card for a friend!! Easy peasy!!!

Email your creations to Em by next Thursday  June 6th  for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

A cup of Tea

Hi there!!! It's Bellarific Friday - yeah!!! And this week, we had an inspiration photo which I absolutely love. I'm always a sucker for a pretty photo because you can interpret it so many ways.

For my card, I decided to use Earl Grey Peep that I received in the mail recently.  Isn't she cute?  The image was stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  Easy Peesy.

Next week's challenge is a sketch :-)

A Special Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Jessica!!! It's Jessica Knutsen's birthday today so the TSG trendsetters have decided to send Jessica some birthday wishes!!! I've had the opportunity to get together with Jessica a few times for crafty weekends and I've always loved every moment of them.  Jessica is one of the sweetest people I know and I feel lucky to be able to call her one of my friends.  I'm super sad she's moving to Texas soon.... I can't hop in my car with Tobi and Kim anymore so that we can invade the Knutsen house.  I guess we'll have to hop on a plane instead, LOL!  For my card today, I've used the TSG set called "Ninja Skills" which has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current Mojo Monday sketch challenge.

Happy Birthday Jessica!!! I'll raise a  glass or two in your honour today!!! :-)

Bellarific Friday Lolly and her Brolly

Hey there everyone!!! It's that time of the week again - Bellarific Friday!! This week, we had a fantastic sketch to work with and I had so much fun!! Normally, I end up cutting off the legs of the Uptown Girls to get them to fit on a standard sized card but this week's sketch was perfect so no amputations a la Elaine were needed.  I have stamped Lolly and her Brolly in Archival Black Ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Next week's challenge is an inspiration pic that already has my wheels turning :-)

Email your creations to Em by next Thursday  May 23rd  for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

TSGA On the Move

Hi there!! Every month, the week before the TSG release, we highlight some of our older sets and this month we are highlighting On the Move.  It came out last year and is perfect for someone who is moving or has recently moved.  I stamped the image using Archival Black ink and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout is this week's Retro Sketch Challenge.  Make sure you check out the TSG blog to see what the girls have created :-)

A martini every now and then....

Today was all about procrastinating... which meant rather than packing, I decided to play :-)  I must admit playing with my stamps was so much more fun!!! I've been inspired by so many challenges I've been seeing in blog land lately that I knew I wanted to play.  I came across a new challenge blog called the Fusion Card Challenge and they had a fantastic inspiration pic. So I decided to pair up the inspiration pic with the current Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Shhhhh\!!! Don't tell anyone that I screwed up the sketch a bit, let's called it creative licence k?

I loved the colors and decided to have some fun with this DP from Glitz Design.  The image is called Cosmobella from Stamping Bella. I didn't realize it was out of stock when I colored it up. OOPS!!! I love making journals and this one was no exception. I thought it would be great to fill with fabulous summer drinks.

Thanks for popping by!!!

Let the Sunshine in

On a beautiful Mother's Day, I thought that this would be a perfect idea for a fun card :-)  The sun is shining and we'll be spending the day out in the garden planting all sorts of happiness.  I'm shocked my family is letting me help considering I call myself the "Black Thumb".  I love a pretty garden but I will tell you, I can kill almost any plant unintentionally.

I've had Sunshiny Flynn from Stamping Bella for awhile now and hadn't inked her up yet. I've stamped her in Archival Black ink and then colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  Easy peasy.

And considering it's Mother's Day, I want to share my beautiful mother with you

She's my rock, she's my anchor, she's my world!!! I love you MOM!!! I am so proud to be your daughter!!!

A little bit of happy

Hey there everyone!!! It's Friday so we all know what that means!! Bellarific Friday! Wahoo. This week's challenge was "Kraft-tastic!" where we wanted to see Kraft somewhere on your card.  I used it both for my base as well as what I stamped my image on.  I've used Miles Huggabugg which has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The layout for my card is the current Freshly Made sketch :-)

Next week's challenge is a sketch again :-)

Just Ducky

Believe it or not, I actually had a day off yesterday. It feels like it's so long between days off (with working two jobs, it is rare to get a day off at all) so I took full advantage of it and got crafty yesterday.  I love this week's Mojo Monday sketch so I knew I had to play with it. For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Polka dot Pals". I love how well the Park Bench line from Fancy Pants Design works with this card. The image has been colored with Prismaacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Thanks for popping by :-)

SC435 Got Balls?

Hi there!!!  Sorry for going silent for a few days.  I have a lot going on right now in both my personal and work life that has been keeping me pretty busy.  So my posting this month may be a little sporadic!  Not something I like to happen but sometimes it is how things go.  As soon as I saw the current sketch challenge at SCS I knew I wanted to play. I loved the simplicity of it and I had an image in mind right away.  For my card, I've used Baseball Peep from Stamping Bella. He was stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The sentiment comes from the TSG set called "Swing Big".

You still have time to enter this week's Bellarific Friday challenge which is all about getting Krafty!! We want to see Kraft on your card.

A Berry Happy Day

Hi there!!! It's time for another Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella - Wahoo!!!  This week, we had a sketch (have I ever mentioned how much I love sketches?).  They always seem to inspire me.  I have had this strawberry DP for way too long and I never had an image that it matched until now.  Flynn's Berry Happy Day is perfect :-)  I stamped her in Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I'm starting to love my Prismas so much more now and my Tombows are falling by the wayside.

Next week's challenge is to use KRAFT on your card.  It can be cardstock, the color, anything related to kraft.   Email your creations to Em by next Thursday 9 May for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)!

Thanks for popping by :-)

TSG205 I appreciate your kindness

Hi there!!!! This week's challenge at There She Goes is all about April Showers bringing May flowers. If the rain we received on the West Coast is any indication.... we'll have oodles of flower in May. LOL!!! For my card, I was inspired by the current Deconstructed Sketch and decided to use the burlap flower instead of a circular image. The sentiment comes from the TSG set called "Bloom".

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a NEW card or project using the theme for this week’s challenge, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Monday May 6th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG205 so we can check out your beautiful work!
