I just can't

LOL!!! I love this fun chick from Stamping Bella and it's just perfect for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge which was a 1,2, 3 challenge.  For my card, I have used one of the images and sentiments from the set called "The chicks who couldn't even". The chicks in this set make me giggle every time I see them and for me, I've needed that this week. The layout for my card is the current Retro Sketch

Next week's challenge is another sketch. Check it out.

Make sure you head on over to the Bella Blog!!! We've been sneak peeking the new sets all week and you have a chance to win!!!

Lulu loves poppies

Hi there!!! A new month and a new Bellarific Friday!! And it also means an introduction of a new Bella babe who is one of my stamping idols, Michelle Boyer!!! Make sure you check out her blog!!!!

This week at Stamping Bella, we had a great colour inspiration challenge.

I love the colour combo and knew automatically what DP I'd use. Thank goodness I always hoard DP. LOL!! This Dp is an old |Basic Grey pad from years ago. For my card, I am using the new Stamp of the Month called Lulu Loves Poppies which is 20% off all month long. The layout for my card is the current Retro Sketch challenge. I've stamped the image with Archival black ink and then coloured with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.

Next week's challenge is a sketch

We'd love for you to participate.  Make sure you use a current image (if you aren't sure, type the stamps' name into the search bar) and then get your card into Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com

Feeling Springy

I've been feeling Spring lately and I'm loving the weather we are finally having. So needless to say, it has me thinking about Sunshine and all the fun things I can finally do. For my first card today, I have used Sunshiny Flynn (it's currently out of stock... it was in stock when I made the card) and a recent Retro Sketch challenge. The image has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

For my second card, I wanted to go clean and simple using two different stamp sets. The sentiment comes from the latest release and is called Flower for a true friend. I have stamped the flower called Fluffy flower head with Rose Bud ink by Memento. I love how crisp the card looks and how the pink just pops.

Thanks for popping by!!!

May your walls know joy

Hi there!!! Another quiet week on my blog... that's what work does to you sometimes. This week's Stamping Bella challenge was all about making a card using fall colors which was a bit of a struggle for me because they are colors I am not normally drawn to. For my card, I decided to use the current Retro Sketch challenge. I decided to use a sentiment from the set called Uptown Girls Three Amigas

Next week's challenge is a sketch challenge - my fave!!!

Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella - you could win some bella bucks!

RS84 Warm Wishes

Hi there!!! Ever since I saw this week's Retro Sketch challenge, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to use my very neglected washi tape. Are you like me with a huge supply of washi tape that goes unused?  LOL!! I'm a hoarder of craft supplies, I'll admit it. For my card, I've kept it really simple with different washi tapes and then a snowflake that I've covered with "fake snow" and the sentiment comes from the Stamping Bella set called "Uptown Girl Quinn in her boots".  I think I may end up reproducing this card numerous time for some of this year's Christmas cards. Easy peasy!!

TSG201 Tweet This...

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week,Tracy Valure! She is challenging YOU to make a card or project for the man/boy/son/etc. in your life. Masculine cards can be so challenging in a world full of embellishments and colors, so use this challenge to add to your stockpile of cards for the boys!

I bought these fun wood veneers at Michaels a couple of weeks ago and have been dying to use them.  I realized they'd be perfect for a guy card!!!! We all know that the guys in our life don't like the cards with all the muss and fuss so this is awesome!!! The sentiment from the TSG set "Birdie Wishes" was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The layout for my card is a variation of this week's Retro Sketch challenge.

Thanks for popping by!!!

For the boys

This week at Stamping Bella, it's all about the boys!! I'll admit, I don't often do "boy" cards but I knew that Arthur from the set called "Arthur and Annie" would be perfect. It's unfortunately sold out right now... Darn...  I stamped him in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  The layout is a recent "Retro Sketch" that I flipped on its' side.

Ready to play along with the next Stamping Bella challenge?
Next week's challenge is a sketch challenge!

Email Emily (emily@stampingbella.com ) with your entries by the end of Thursday,  March 21st to see your project on the blogabella and to be eligible to win $10 Bella Bucks to the Stamping Bella Store!!

We have all fallen in love with Diane's designs and I can't wait to color one of them up.  In the mean time, I have a sample using one of the new Uptown Girls called "Faith the Fairy". Isn't she awesome??? She comes with a fantastic sentiment, too!!  I'm in love with this Uptown Girl!!! I have colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  It's hard to tell in the picutre but I've added some Diamond Stickles to her tiara and her wand.  The layout for my card is an older Retro Sketch

TSG194 Have a happy day

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetters. We are challenging you to use flowers-whether they be paper or stamps!  For my card today, I was inspired by this week's Retro Sketch. I am loving the look and clean and simple cards lately :-)  The flower I created was using one of the Memory Box Dies. If I remember correctly, it is called "Lisette Buckle" and a Sizzix die.  I then stamped a sentiment from the TSG set "Have a Happy Day".

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a project that uses flowers in some way, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (February 18th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

TSG190 From the heart

Hi there!!! As soon as I saw this week's TSG challenge, I knew I wanted to go clean and simple.  This week, it is all about "Love is in the Air".  I didn't want to go traditional in terms of a Valentine's Day card but instead wanted to create a set of cards that could be used for any purpose. I always find I'm in need of a 'Thinking of you' card or just a quick and simple thank you card.  This is perfect!!! For my card, I've used the current Retro Sketch challenge. For my card, I have used last year's Echo Park "Yours Truly" and the sentiment is from the TSG set called "Everyday Greetings".  I then added some clear rhinestones to finish off the card.

Thanks for popping by!!!

Winter Cutie Pie

Isn't she fabuous??? As soon as I saw this new set from TSG called "Sparkly and Bright", I knew I was in love.  The weather has been cold here the last couple of weeks so I wanted to create a bright springy card (even if this cutie pie is wearing a winter coat). The DP for my card is a recent Crate Paper line but I'm not sure of its' name.  Maybe it's my attempt to bring on Spring.. LOL. The layout for my card is the current Retro Sketch challenge. The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.

Let's party....

Hi rhere everyone!!! Here I am with my first official post as a Bella Babe.  What better way to start it off with a fun card made with a little bit of sassy?  I had a bit of time to play a few days ago and knew that as soon as I saw this week's Retro Sketch that I had to play. I've always loved the Uptown Girls line at Stamping Bella but only bought my first few back in October. I love sassy stamps and this one is no exception.  For my card today, I've used "Victoria and Juliette's Night Out".The image has been stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers. I added some Diamond Stickles to the ruffles on each of the girls' dresses but unfortunately it doesn't translate well in pictures.  The DP I've used is Pebbles "Seen and Noted".  I must admit I'm having a bit of a love affair with their papers lately.  Their paper is another new addiction.  LOL!!!

Thanks for popping by :-)
