Acorn anyone?

I sat down this afternoon to just play!!! The mojo was flowing so I had to go with it!! Wahoo! This week, There She Goes is sponsoring the Ribbon Carousel Challenge so I had to play.  After all, I am on the design team for both.  Jessica has challenged us to use "two or more" things from a spool.  Easy peasy!!! We all know how much I love my ribbon.

Isn't she just too cute with her little acorn?  I can't wait for Fall as it's my favorite time of year, love the cool crisp air and all the colours.  Therefore, I knew I had to play with the new TSG set called "Pumpkins on the Vine" and chose to go with Basic Grey Curio DP.  I love the Fall colours in this DP. (have I mentioned how much I love Fall????).  LOL...  I've stamped the image with Versafine Vintage Sepia, then watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers (surprise, surprise right???).  The layout is this week's Mojo Monday sketch (love it) which enabled me to use some of my new goodies from the Ribbon Carousel store.

Thanks for dropping by!!!

TSG Sneak Peek - Pumpkins on a Vine

Welcome to Day 3 of TSG's sneak peeks for this month's release!!! Wahoo!!!  I hope you've been enjoying the last few days with the fantastic sets.  I'm the first official stop on today's blog hop so sit down and enjoy the fantastic eye candy.

It’s almost time for the seasons to change and Torico has illustrated some adorable little girls just in time for autumn! The images in this set were sized so that they can also be used with other stamp sets from Torico’s line for even more versatility.

I had such a hard time choosing what image I wanted to use for my sample today but I love the expression on this cutie pie's face so of course I had to use it.  The image has been watercolored with Tombow Markers as well as watercolor pencils for a softer look.  I wanted the DP's I chose
to allow the image to pop.  Love it!!!

Pumpkins on a Vine is a 4x6 set that has 15 stamps and will sell for $15.

Would you like a chance to win the Pumpkins on a Vine Stamp set?   Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Pumpkins On A Vine Blog Hop Challenge post. TSG Sneak Peek - Beautiful Day

WOW!!! Can you believe it is already time for this month's There She Goes sneak peeks?? Wahoo!!! I'm the first offical stop on today's blog hop so grab your cup of coffee (or Frappucino) and sit back, relax and enjoy the hop. If there is a break in the hop, there will be a master list on the TSG blog.

First there were fairy tales and then fairies and now Di  has added a touch of country cottage to her fabulous build a scene stamp line! Use alone or along with the other stamp sets designed by Di to create wonderful handmade creations.

For my card today, I was inspired by Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch from this week.  I've stamped the brick wall twice and then masked the girl in.  I've watercolored the image with my Tombow markers and then I've added a grass border that has been sponged with Old Olive ink.

Beautiful Day is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 10 stamps and will sell for $15

Now head on over to the talented Ann's blog for some fabulous eye candy!!!

RCC17 Back to School

*** Just to let you know, I have two posts today - this one and my TSG sneak peek.

I'm back!!!  I've been a crazy card making machine the last couple of days getting ready for TSG sneak peeks and some other upcoming fun stuff.  This week, it's my turn to host the challenge at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge and it's "Back to School".  Here in Canada we don't go back to school until after Labour Day so I guess I'm ahead of the game.  Yeah me!!!  So grab your school colours, a school related image and have some fun!!

Because I'm a teacher, I of course have many school related stamp sets to choose from so it was hard deciding which one to use.  I decided to go with the TSG set called "Chemistry"  that is one of my fave sets I own. I've watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers (surprise surprise).  LOL.  The layout for my card is based on this week's Card Patterns sketch.

We'd love for you to participate in the Ribbon Carousel Challenge this week!!! Don't forget that your creation needs to have ribbon, twine, etc to be eligible to win!!!  This week, Corinna is offering a $10 GC to the Ribbon Carousel store to the winner of the challenge (and who doesn't love more ribbon).

RCC15 Getting Edgy with TGF

Did you think you'd never see my again?? I'm so happy to be back creating again with a slightly reduced work schedule, no weddings to attend among a variety of other things.  This has definitely been a summer of chaos for me and not the summer I had expected to have.

This week, Jessica Diedrich, one of our DT members as well as the DT Co-ordinator at The Greeting Farm is challenging us to get "Edgy" at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge.  You can distress your paper, tear it up or use an "edgy" image.  Just get edgy!!! Don't forget that your edgy creations need to have ribbon, twine etc (basically anything that comes on a spool) somewhere on them.

This week, we are being sponsored by The Greeting Farm who has graciously provided the DT with images to work with.  And to top it all off, one lucky participant will win a 4x6 set of their choice.

Let me tell you, I had a hard time choosing an image because I liked so many of them.  I eventually decided on the cute digi called Audrey.  She was a little edgy and a blast to color.  I thought she perfectly matched the Basic Grey DP and this month's SFYTT fit her to a tee. GO ME!!! I didn't wait until the last couple days of the month to get my SFYTT card finished.

Now make sure you check out what the rest of the DT did...  It's a lot of great eye candy.

HUGS!!
