All about the babies

Hi there!!! I'm just popping in quickly with one last card before we ring in the new year.  As soon as I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch challenge, I knew I wanted to play. My mom needed a baby card so I decided to ink up Snookums from Stamping Bella .  I think this may be one of my favorite baby images ever!! Love it!!

I'll be back in a day or two with a fun new project!!

Happy New Years!!!

Sending love

Hi there!!!! Sending lots of love your way!! This week at Stamping Bella we had a sketch to work with and to be honest, it scared me when I first looked at it.

Believe me when I say I stared at it for a long time... And then suddenly it dawned on me. For my card, I decided to use the image called "Lucille Sends her Love". I flipped the sketch on its side and coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.  I then used a Memory Box die twice with two different papers and popped a couple of the hearts up.

This is the last challenge of the year but I'll be back soon with another card and more details about our first challenge of 2015.

Warm hugs and big smiles

Hey there!!! Sorry about the late post... I turned the big 40 yesterday. Shocking, I know!! LOL!!! I may have had a few Black Widow martinis and I wasn't on the floor. LOL!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we had a great inspiration image to work with. I decided I wanted to go with a nice subtle colour combo to mimic the softness of the snow. For my card, I used a recent Sweet Sunday Sketch. I have used the sentiment from the newer set called Buddy and Jolly.

Next week is our last challenge of the year!!! Make sure you get your card in to Emily by Thursday evening to be included in the Friday post.

A little hula

Hi there!! Another week and another Bellarific Friday. This week at Stamping Bella, we had a fantastic sketch to work with and of course, I messed it up a little bit. OOPS!!! I'm getting old, I shouldn't try to do a sketch from memory. LOL!!! For my card, I have decided to use one of the new images called Hula Chick.  She's been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol. I really like how she turned out and she's definitely able to brighten your day when the skies are gray. |LOL!!!

Next week is an inspiration challenge. Check it out.

Please remember that you need to use a current image. To make sure it's current, just type the stamp name into the search box on the website. If you see it there, it's current. Then email your card to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday evening.

A little horse

I know I've mentioned I've been having fun with the new release images from Stamping Bella and this card is no exception. I was in a crafty mood today (after watching the Grey Cup) and decided I wanted to have a little fun.  For my card, I've used the image called Little Horse and coloured it with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Do you ever look at your designer paper and then all of a sudden you find a combo you wouldn't have thought of? That's what happened with this card. I'm loving the more masculine colour palette. Each layer of DP has been sponged with Close to Cocoa ink.

Tomorrow's a new month and I'm still trying to embrace the fact that my 30's are quickly coming to an end... I think I need a martini. LOL!!!

Build a snowman

Hey there!!! I've had so much fun creating with the latest release from Stamping Bella.  I have so many more that haven't seen ink yet.... which means I have a lot of playing to do. LOL. This week our challenge at Stamping Bella was to make a card with "Holiday Wishes". I decided to use Valerie with Snowman" which has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also used some Diamond Stickles on the snow.

Next week's challenge is a sketch with some fantastic banners on it. I'm loving it!!!

Soldiers dancing...

Hey there!! Can you believe that you'll get to see 2 cards from me all in a couple days time? That rarely happens these days. hahahaha. As soon as I saw the Freshly Made Sketch yesterday, I knew I wanted to play a little. What's even better is that it gave me an opportunity to get another Christmas card made. Go me!!! I decided to go with a Kraft and Red theme which seems so appropriate for Christmas, don't you think? I've stamped the image called 'Christmas Soldiers" from Stamping Bella onto Kraft paper with Close to Cocoa ink. I've also distressed the edges and sponged them with Close to Cocoa ink.

Another Christmas card down. Wahoo!!!

Bundle of Joy

Welcome back for another week of Bellarific Friday. I've been having so much fun playing around will all of the new stamps from Stamping Bella. So much fun, I tell ya!!! This week, we had a fun sketch and of course, I decided to change it up a little bit and make the image oval rather than circular. I then added the word Joy from a Penny Black Die instead of the long banner. I'm all about making a sketch your own... and of course, I made it my own.  The image called "Uptown Girl Bailey has a baby" has been coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol.  I hope you like it.

Next week's challenge is called "Holiday Wishes". It can be interpreted in so many ways. Love it!!! I already have an idea for my card. You have until Thursday evening to get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com

Can't wait to see what you come up with :-)

In the Air

You can really tell when the weather is miserable outside... Even with my Ott lites, I can't get a good photo of this card. Here's to hoping we'll get some sunshine soon. As soon as I saw this image from Stamping Bella called Bentley gets blown away  I knew I had to have her.  Then... I didn't use her. LOL!!! But now is the perfect time. I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I'm wishing I had thought to stamp the sentiment before I started colouring.... I realized it as soon as I was done colouring and by that point, I was afraid that I'd stamp the sentiment crooked and well I couldn't have that. LOL.

See you soon!!

Hot Chocolate anyone?

Hello!!! Wow, the feeling of winter has definitely arrived here on the west coast. It's definitely hot chocolate time for me. Well to be more accurate, give me a salted caramel mocha and I'm a happy girl. LOL!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we have a fantastic inspiration pic that I fell in love with. I chose to go with the softer palette as seen in the photo.

For my card, I used a recent Mojo Monday sketch challenge for my layout. The image I have used is one half of the set called Buddy and Jolly. It also comes with a fabulous sentiment that I will be putting on the inside of my card.

Next week's challenge is a sketch. Check it out!!!

Just remember that you have until Thursday evening to get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com for it to be part of the challenge. It needs to be a current image to qualify for the fabulous monthly prize.

The sentiment has been stamped with Close to Cocoa ink and all of the edges of designer paper have been sponged with the same ink. I then added a Memory Box Snowflake. Hope you like it!!!

For my card, I have coloured with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.

Next week's challange in an inspiration pic and let's just say it has me inspired!!!

Ready for Winter

\DO you ever feel like you've totally lost your mojo and then you make a card that gets you inspired again? Well this card did it  for me.. I'm not sure if it was the DP or the image, but I love how it all came together. This week at Stamping Bella our challenge was to use buttons or bows and I decided to use both!! For my card, I used the current Sweet Sunday sketch and the image called "Quinn and her boots". I've coloured her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol and then used Diamond Stickles for the snow.

Next week's challenge is a sketch.

Make sure you get your card in to Emily by Thursday evening to qualify for the monthly prize.

Mistletoe kisses

Every year I say I'm going to get my Christmas cards done early and it never happens so this year, I thought why not try? I figure if I keep them clean and simple, I can do it right? For this card, I have used the sentiment from the Stamping Bella set called "Eve under the Mistletoe". A Memory box die, red rhinestones, ribbon and voila, an easy cas card.

Wahoo!! 1 card down...

Thinking of you

I had a bit of free time last week so I made this card using a recent Mojo Monday sketch... and then I forgot to blog it. I swear \I'd lose my mind  if it wasn't part of my body. LOL... Oops.... I wanted a simple thinking of you card for someone and thought the sketch was a perfect fit. I have used the thinking of you sentiment from the Stamping Bella set called "Matilda on her swing". I like how you can still make a nice card without having to color an image. \Hope you like it!!!

Love to skate

Hi there!! Another Friday and it's \Bellarific!!!! This week at Stamping Bella, we had a nice and simple sketch to work with. I was pretty literal with it and for once.... I didn't make any changes. LOL!!! For my card, I have used the image called Ramona loves to Glide. I kept it simple by colouring with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used some DP to paper piece the coat.

Next week's challenge is called "buttons and bows". You need to use either a button or bow on your card or both. It's totally up to you.  Don't forget to get your card in to Emily by Thursday to be eligible for the monthly prize. Just make sure you use a current image.

See you soon!!!

Inspired by the pages of yesterday

Hi there!!! This week we had a fantastic inspiration challenge at Stamping Bella. |I decided to go a little different rather than colouring the image. I have used the image called Jayden loves to journal. The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and the image was stamped in Crumb Cake. I love how it still packs a punch and shows that line images don't always have to be coloured.

Next week's challenge is a sketch which I think lends itself to clean and simple. Check it out!!

We'd love for you to join us. All you have to do is make sure you use a current image and get your card in to Emily by Thursday evening at emily@stampingbella.com. Get yourself entered for a monthly prize to spend in the bella store!!!

Next week's challenge is an inspiration challenge which is perfect for Fall.

My Favourite Kind

Another week and another fun challenge at Stamping Bella. This week we had a fantastic inspiration image so I decided to focus on the softer colours.  I've taken on a new job where I work which has reduced my crafty time dramatically so I needed something a little quicker to make. I decided to use the sentiment from the set called "Ramona and her Wagon" which packs a punch all on its own. See, you can make a great card and you don't have to colour.

NExt week's challenge is a nice and clean sketch for you.

Make sure you get your card in to Em by Thursday evening.

Looking fabulous

Hi there!!! Hope you've all been having a great month so far. This week's challenge at Stamping Bella was to add paper piecing to your cards. For my card, I decided to use the image called "Audrey Loves her make-up". Now if only I looked this fabulous!!! I can dream right??? LOL!!!! I've used an assortment of MME papers for the card and then of course I had to add the tulle ruffle trim to make it a little bit more girly looking.

Next weeks' challenge is a sketch.

Make sure you get your cards in to Emily by Thursday evening!!

Puppy Love

Hey there!!! I hope you've all been enjoying the Labour Day weekend. It's so nice for me to get my days off back to back so I'm a happy camper :-)  As soon as I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I had to play. Of course, I couldn't leave things alone so I made it vertical rather than horizontal.  For the image, I have used the fun image from Stamping Bella called Butch and Mimi. I used a valentine's line from this past year (not sure of the line, sorry).  I kept a sentiment off the card so that I could figure it out when I actually give the card away.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Nothing but a tutu....

I keep looking at this fabulous image from Stamping Bella called Tallulah in her Tutu and wasn't sure what I wanted to do with her until I noticed the pink tulle ribbon sitting on my desk and I thought perfect!!! I wanted to keep my card relatively simple so rather than colouring the entire image I decided to only colour the crown and the balloon, both of which then got doused with Diamond  Stickles!! Gotta love stickles.

It just goes to show that you don't always have to colour your images and they can still pack a punch :-)

Time to Relax

Hey there!!! Another Friday which means Bellarific Friday!! This week we had a nice simple sketch to work with :-)

With summer quickly coming to an end... BOO!!! I decided I wanted to use the Uptown Girl called Sandy and her Sombrero. She has been stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and gamsol.  I changed up the sentiment flag a little bit to make it a little easier (In other words, I couldn't get my flag to fold right... LOL). The sentiment comes from a set called Little Umbrella that is currently out of stock. OOPS!!!

Next week's challenge is "Paper Piecing". Make sure you paper piece something on your card. Perfect for those fabulous Uptown Girls!!!

Make sure you get your card in to Emily at emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday evening at 10EST.

Say Cheese

Hi there!! I had a bit of fun last night playing with some of the journalling sets from Stamping Bella. For some reason, I have had this one brewing in my mind for awhile. For my card, I have used the sets called Blabbity Bla and Life Documented. I placed them on a large stamping block all over the place and then stamped with Archival Black ink. I then added a wooden veneer Polaroid frame to highlight the Say cheese sentiment. I'm kind of wishing I stamped that particular sentiment in a different colour.... Oh well....

Another week and another fabulous challenge at Stamping Bella for you guys!!! This week we had an inspiration challenge pic which are always my fave because there are so many things you can do with them.

I loved the colours from the image and thought it looked youthful so I decided I want to use the Mo \Manning image called "Lacie with her Ice cream" and who doesn't love ice cream in the summer time right? LOL!!! The layout for my card is a recent Sweet Sunday Sketch

Next week's challenge is a sketch!! Make sure you use a current image and get your card into Emily by Thursday at 10 EST.
