Bee Mine - Bellarific Friday

Eeks!!! I don't officially start as a Bella babe until tomorrow (December 1st) but I couldn't resist playing along with this fantastic sketch for this week's challenge.  If you're a regular to my blog, you know that I'm a sucker for a sketch. LOL!

I thought about switching it up and flipping the sketch but I love it just the way it is.

I fell in love with this DP from Pebbles a few weeks ago at my LSS and knew I HAD to have it. Yup, I'm a sucker for pretty paper. It makes me warm and giddy.  LOL!!. For my card, I've used the image called "BeeeMine Huggabugg".  The image has been watercolored with Tombow Markers (surprising, right??).

Next week's challenge is to create a TAG!!! You can always back your tag onto a card.   It's a perfect time to be making tags with Christmas coming soon.

As an added bonus.....

Guess what! Stamping Bella is now hosting Bellatastic Tuesday challenges their Splitcoast Stampers Forum and we are debuting the very first one!

Want a chance to win $25 in Bella Cash to go on a spending spring in the Stamping Bella Store?! Then play along with us! It's an "Anything Goes" challenge this week and the only requirements are that you use any Stamping Bella image and then upload your creation to your Splitcoast Stampers gallery and use the keyword BELLANOV2012!

The challenge will run from today until midnight EST on Monday 10th December 2012. During this time, participants cards will also be posted in a special blog post over on Bloggabella! You may very well also see your cards on our Pinterest board!

The winner of the $25 prize will be chosen at random from the entries, and will be announced here and over on Bloggabella on Tuesday 11th December.

Good luck! and hope to see you there!

ISSC44 Candy Cane Time...

I'm in the Christmas mood (kinda) when it comes to card making so I had a lot of fun playing with my stamps for this card.  This week at iSpy, we are featuring this week so I'm thrilled!!! This week we are featuring Christine Okken ( ChristineCreations at SCS) and is inspired by this card.

LOVE this sketch!!! It's a keeper and I know that I'll be using it again and again.

I've had this stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas called "Raising Cane" for a few months now and I"m so glad I finally got to play with it. For my card, I was inspired by the DP I've chosen (mixture of Basic Grey, Simple Stories and Pebbles).  The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then I watercolored with Tombow Markers. This is the first time I've done the "Out of the Box" technique with having part of the image outside the main panel and I have to admit it made me a little nervous but I LOVE it.

Make sure you pop on over to the iSpy blog to see what the girls have created.

EP- You are my Sunshine

I can't believe another month of 2012 has flown by.... Less than a month to Christmas which means only a couple of weeks to my birthday. LOL!!! I'm 29 plus a few.  With another month coming to an end, that also means that my time as the Guest Designer at Eclectic Paperie is also coming to an end.

For my card today, I went clean and relatively simple using the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I used two different stamp sets on my card today - one being my fave set I've used this month from Market Street Stamps called "Growth" and the other being a Wplus9 set called "The Birds and the Bees". I stamped one of the leave images from the Growth set in Versamark and then embossed it with Ranger Superfine clear embossing powder.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The DP I've used is from Basic Grey and is called Plumeria and the buttons are also Basic Grey Plumeria Vintage Buttons. I've attached some Twinery "Shore" twine to the button.

Thank you to Kim for having me on board this month!!! I've loved my time as Guest Designer :-)

It's a Jungle Out There

Hi there everyone!!!I made this scrapbook page last month to share on the TSG blog and I realized I never added it here on my blog.  I swear I did but nope... I'll have to admit that if you asked me a year ago if I liked scrapbooking, the answer would be a definite no. However, I am liking it more and more and have been creating some fun scrapbook pages. Adding stamps, makes scrapbooking that much more fun.
I'm sorry for the quality of the picture.... I forgot to take a picture during the day and am having a hard time getting a decent pic. For my page, I decided to use some pictures that I took quite a few years ago at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC. (I lived there for 3 years and the zoo was always a great place to go).
To add some fun elements to the page, I decided to use a vine die and then some of the images from the TSG set called "Jungle Out There". I have watercolored the image using Tombow Markers and then cut them out and popped them up.
A simple sentiment finishes off the page. Love it!!!

Thanks for popping by today :-)

TSG183 May your merry be very

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by Candace! She is challenging us to make a card or project using the provided inspiration photo.

As soon as I saw the inspiration pic, I immediately knew the direction I wanted to go in.

Clean and simple is where it's at for this card :-).  I decided to use one of the Memory Box dies that I own and cut it out using green cardstock. I then added some magenta colored rhinestones. The bow is one of my MS punches. The sentiment from the TSG set "Warmest Wishes" was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink.
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project with the inspiration photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (December 3rd). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG183 so we can check out your beautiful work!

OMG!!! Exciting news!!!

Eeks!!!!! I have been sitting on some fun news for the last week and I'm so excited that I can finally share it with you!!!

I'm joining the Stamping Bella Design Team!!! I still can't believe it!! Stamping Bella has long been one of my favorite stamp companies and has always been one of my dream design teams.  I swear I must have looked like a fool doing my happy dance.  I officially start on December 1st so you'll be seeing a lot of fun cards from me soon.

In honor of this, I have combined this weeks' Bellarific Friday challenge (which is Holiday wishes) with this week's iSpy Sketch challenge. This week's iSpy challenge features  Jean Martin and is inspired by this card.

I think this sketch is truly fantastic and will keep it to use again at some point.

For my card, I've used one of the first stamps I ever purchased from Stamping Bella called "Polly Packages". The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  The DP is an older pad from Crate Paper called "Snow Day" (still one of my fave Christmas pads).  As you can see, I moved the bow to the right hand side of the card to balance it out.  Both the green and yellow DP were sponged in corresponding inks for a bit of extra dimension.

Thanks for checking out my fantastic news :-)  I'm still on Cloud 9.

Growth with Eclectic Paperie

I've been having so much fun this month has the Guest Designer at Eclectic Paperie and this week is no exception. I often am inspired by designer paper which would explain my addiction... err... obsession with it. LOL!!! If you only knew how many 6x6 paper pads I have.  My Mind's Eye always comes out with fabulous designer paper and when I saw "The Sweetest Thing: Honey" I knew I had to snatch it up.  I absolutely love the color combos in this pad.

I decided to make two projects for this week with this fantastic paper.

I enjoy making journals to give as gifts and thought that this paper combined with the Market Street Stamps set called "Growth" would be a perfect fit. I used a sketch (for the life of me, I can't remember where it is from) that I thought would highlight each aspect.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The flower is from Maya Road and is called Vintage Gauze Blossoms.  I thought about using re-inkers to change the color of it but I chickened out.

Here is my second project that I created using the same stamp set as well as the same papers.

I love how different each project looks.  I don't often create clean and simple cards but I think this DP called for it. I decided to change things up a bit for the card and used matting using Early Espresso cardstock.  The button I've used comes from the Basic Grey Plumeria Vintage buttons.

Thanks for popping by today :-)  I'll have another post shortly.

TSG Sneak Peek - Holiday Cheer

We are so excited at There She Goes to finally be bringing you our fun, fantastic holiday release. Sneak peeks will continue over the next few days and I'm delighted to say we'll be getting all snowed in.  LOL!!!

Torico is at it again, bringing us another SUPER cute Holiday set to love and adore, and this one has a twist…but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see WHAT the twist is!! Just take it from me, this set is so versatile, you will be turning to it again and again for all your holiday needs! With four ADORABLE scenes, and four fabulous sentiments, you are sure to fall in love.

I was giggling with joy when I saw the images from this set. They are so stinking cute!!! I heart them!!! Love!!!  For my card, I used the current sketch challenge here at TSG. My color inspiration for my card came from the Echo Park DP that I am in love with.  The image was colored with Tombow Markers and the snowflake is from an MFT die that I ran through my Xyron and added Shaved Ice from Stampendous.

Holiday Cheer is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 8 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

Would you like to win the new Holiday Cheer stamp set? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

Hot Chocolate, Anyone?

Isn't Ramona too cute???  I've made this card for this week's Sketch Challenge over at Stamping Bella.  It's a fantastic sketch, I tell ya!!! Although, I rotated it so that I could use this image. You know me, I'm always flipping a sketch if I can.  For my card, I've used the new image called "Ramona shares her hot chocolate" that I got in the  mail earlier this week.  Emily has started mounting the rubber stamps in a cool blue color and I am loving how the images stamp now. LOVE IT!!!  I've used a mixture of Echo Park and Pebbles DP for my card.  Have I ever mentioned how much I love mixing DP's from various companies?  I think I need to do it more often... so much DP, so little time.

Thanks for popping by today!!!

ISSC42 Snowflakes...

Hi there!!! Welcome to another busy week in the life of Angela Thomas. LOL!!!  I've been creating so much this week but unfortunately I can't share any of it with you yet.  Sorry!!

I'm glad I can share this card though.  I've made this card for this week's iSpy sketch as well as for There She Goes Again week at TSG.

This week's sketch features Anya Schrier and is inspired by this card.

I went with a CAS look for my card.

When I bought this MME paper pad called "Cowboy" I bought it for its' masculine colors but when I was scouring through my million and one paper pads I realized how nice it would be for Christmas cards.  For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Stick Together" and the set called "Flourishes".

Thanks for dropping by today!!!

I thought I'd let you know that TSG is having a sale right now :-)

Congrats on the new Job

Hi there everyone!!! It's me again with a fun card to share with you. I'm the current guest Designer over at Eclectic Paperie and this is up on their blog today.  I don't often make masculine cards but as soon as I saw the Authentique Thankful paper pad, I knew I had to create something fun with it.
The colors in this pad are perfect for any masculine card. It has definitely inspired me :-). What better to pair with this fantastic DP than the Sweet Stamp Shop set called "It's a Man's World" which I noticed is currently on sale at the store. Who doesn't love a bargain? LOL!!! The briefcase was stamped twice and then popped up using Scotch Foam Mounting tape. The sentiment was stamped using the Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. The layout for my card is from the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge.
Thanks for popping by!!! I'll be back next Wednesday with another fun project for you.

This week at There She Goes, our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetters! We are challenging YOU to make a card or project using a winter theme. Snow, snowmen, just make it wintery!!

For my card today, I decided to use one of my fave TSG sets called "Snowy Days".  It's one that I love pulling out at this time of year with all of its' cute images.  Love them!!  For my layout, I've used the current SFYTT with the only difference being that I placed the entire circle above rather than being partially cut off.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge(winter) and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. Fun news with Eclectic Paperie

Eeks!!!   I'm so excited to be the guest designer at Eclectic Paperie for the month of November. Let's just say I did a little happy dance when I got an email from Kim asking me to be the guest designer. And if you've ever seen me dance, it's not pretty. LOL!!!
I was so inspired by the box of goodies that Kim sent me that I didn't know where to start so I decided to go "pretty" with my card for today.
This card is truly my style. I love clean but with a lot of layers.
For my card, I started out with the Basic Grey Plumeria paper pad as my inspiration as well as a recent Viva la Verve sketch. The purple layer of DP was sponged along the edge with Memento Lulu Lavendar ink and the blue fishtail banners were sponged with Memento Bahama Blue ink. The sentiment on my card comes from the Market Street Stamps set called "Growth". I love this stamp set and know I'll be using it again soon. Isn't that flower fantastic too? Eeks!!! So pretty :-) I love pretty, LOL. The flower is called "Vintage Gauze blossom - Cream". I think I'll try to dye one with some re-inkers soon as I think it will be a really pretty look.
Thanks for popping by today!!! I'll be back each Wednesday throughout the month with some eye candy for you.

Have a great day!!!

ISSC40 Wishing you Joy

Hi there!!! I've been busy in my craft area this week but don't have much to show you... Sad, I know!!! I've been creating a lot of scrapbook pages lately (What's wrong with me? I must be sick!! LOL!!!) and have been enjoying creating them.

That's not why you're here though, so I'll get on with it.  This week's iSpy sketch features  Julie H. (Juble at SCS) and is inspired by this card.

Okay.... Call me a dunce!!!  I tried doing my card based on memory (normally I copy out the sketch on paper) and apparently I forgot part of it.  OOPS!!! Let's just say I took some creative license, K?  That works for me!!

For my card, I used the TSG set called "Wishing You" that I stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink which I ended up embossing with clear embossing powder. I then used Versamagic Wheat Ink that I sponged around the Nestabilities.

Thanks for popping by :-)
