Brynn and her baby shower

Hi there!!! I'm back... and I'm sick. Yuck!!! It's one of those hazards when you work with kids - the germs!!! I've been down and out for a few days now but decided to color up Brynn and her Baby shower from Stamping Bella yesterday while I was on the couch watching TV.  I must say that she's one of my fave Uptown Girls!! I had been thinking for awhile that there wasn't a pregnant Uptown Girl and then Emily released one the same month.  ESP!!!  Once I saw the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew it would be what I'd use for my layout.  Let's just say this simple card took two days to come together...

Here's to hoping I feel better tomorrow.

The Calories don't count

Hi there!!! I was SO excited when my new stamps from Stamping Bella arrived in the mail this week!! It was a super happy mail day for me.  This week, Bellarific Friday is all about keeping your card monochromatic. I really tried, I promise.... I kept the DP and accessories monochromatic but I just couldn't do it, those darn prismacolor pencils were just popping into my hand begging to be used.  For my card, I have used Uptown Girl Chanel the Chef which has been colored with Prosmacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I then used a sentiment from the Uptown Girl Isabelle Loves her Ice Cream. I love how you are able to mix and match the sentiments to another set.  Em's a smart one, I tell ya!!  The layout for my card is the current Seize the Sketch

Next week's challenge is a sketch and my brain is already thinking about it.

All about Love...

I sat down over the weekend to make some cards and I'm only getting around to posting them now.  For my first card, I decided to use the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge (which I altered slightly).  I bought this Bella Blvd DP over the summer and thought it was perfect to use with this image called "Uptown Girls Brett and Brenda get married". The image was stamped with Archival Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

For my second card, I decided to go clean and simple with no DP. Me??? I made a card with no DP - can you believe it? LOL!!! I love how striking this card looks with its' combination of colors. The sentiment comes from the set  "Uptown Girls Brett and Brenda get married".

Thanks for popping by!!

Christmas Dogs...

Hi there!!! I had a bit of free time to play over the weekend so I whipped up this card using the current Deconstructed Sketch (I have a feeling I'll be using this sketch again soon) along with some new DP I picked up at my LSS. The image called "Confused Christmas Dog" from Stamping Bella has been colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I love how bright all of the colours look together.

I made a few more cards over the weekend so I'll be showing them throughout the week :-)

Bellarific Friday - Dream it, do it

Hi there!!! I know, I know... my blog went silent again.  It's been a long couple of weeks for me with my dad having heart surgery last week.  There were some major complications during the surgery which I won't go in to but that meant I was out of town for a few days and then I had to head straight back to work (my first day back was a 13 hour trip to Vancouver for a workshop).  To be honest, I'm exhausted both emotionally and physically.  I needed to check out for a bit to realize all that has gone on.  Good news is that my dad is now home!! Thank goodness.  I urge you all to hug your loved ones!!

But that's not why you're here, is it?  You're here for Bellarific Friday. This week we had a sketch and I decided to go simple and use Jane Girl which is a silhouette stamp. ( I didn't have the energy to even think about coloring anything).  Super simple, I tell ya!!!

Next week's challenge is  Monochromatic Friday.  Pick your favorite Bella Stamp  and choose one color to bring it to life including your papers.. wow! that’s a challenge!!!

King of the Candy Cane

Hi there!! Have you noticed a bit of a theme on my blog lately? I'm starting on my Christmas cards early so I don't run out of time like I normally do..... Okay but that's not why you're here. It's Bellarific Friday!! This week at Stamping Bella we were challenged to use a sketch which is often my go to for any card.  For my card today, I've used the image called King of the Candy Canes. The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The DP is some of last year's Echo Park Christmas lines.  I'm trying to use some of my old paper before I go buy more!!

Have you checked out the Stamping Bella blog and all of the sneak peeks??? Aren't they fabulous??? I'll be showing one on my blog soon, I promise!!

Next week's Bellarific Friday challenge is to use circles on your card.

Do the impossible

Hi there!!! I had a little bit of free time this morning so I decided to play with the current Fall to Layout before I head to work. I loved the simplicity of the sketch but also the fact that it allows for a bit of fun and able to create a graphic looking card. For my card, I used three different Stamping Bella sets including Mini Bubble Wrap Mesh and French Script for the green polkadots, and Java Spills for the blue circles. I then used the sentiment from the set called "Twirl". I love how they all came together for a fun card. Hope you like it!!!

See you Friday for my Bellarific Friday card :-)
