If friends were flowers
Hi there!!! Hope you're all having a great weekend. I\m enjoying the long weekend here in Canada (even though I have the beginning of a cold) and with some time off, I decided I wanted to play with some mixed media type stuff. I took a Mixed Media card class at my local stamp store the other day and I really enjoyed it so I decided to pick up some goodies like Tim Holtz Distress stains, Dylusions sprays, Inkagold and some Gelatos. Please be gentle with me!!! LOL. For my card today, I used the Stamping Bella set called Em's Lantern Flowers which was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some Mixed media paper and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I then added a few different pink tones of Distress stains and some Gelatos and silver Inkagold over that. I added some polkadots using a stencil and white ink. I then had a major crafting mishap after adding the sentiment from the set called Uptown Girl Pippa loves to plant. I wanted to add some of the White Dylusions spray and let's just say more came out than I expected (all over the card and all over my craft mat). I tried to fix it.... but I'm realizing that with mixed media it doesn't have to be perfect.
Hope you like it!!!

Mimi the Chick
Hi there everyone. It's me with my post for Bellarific Friday. This week, we had a sketch to work with and overall, I kept it the same except for skewing the image panel. Oops... Okay I'll admit it, I liked it better with the panel on an angle. I received the new release from Stamping Bella in the mail last week so I decided I needed to ink up Mimi the Chick. I've inked her up with Archival black ink and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.
Next week's theme is Button UP! Add buttons to your card. Remember to email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella and you could win some bella bucks!

Sizzlin' Summer
Hi there!! Oops... I almost forgot it was Friday and we all know that Friday means it's Bellarific Friday. This week's Bellarific Friday challenge is called "Sizzlin' Summer which means we want to see your summer images. It's hard to believe it's summer when we've had so much rain here on the West Coast. However, we haven't had anywhere near as much rain as Alberta has been experiencing. For my card, I decided to use Kinibella that I've had in my stash for awhile now. I was hoping to use one of the new Uptown Girls but as luck would have it, I finished my card and sent my picture off to Emily and what comes through my mailslot... yup, you guessed it, my stamps... The layout for my card is the current Deconstructed Sketch.
Next week's challenge is a sketch :-)
Email your creations to Em by next Thursday June 27th for a chance to win $20 Bella Bucks (either by submitting a project or simply commenting on next week's Bellarific Friday post)
It's Em's birthday next week and she's having a birthday sale!! 25% off and that includes sales items too!! Wahoo!!! The code to use is bellabirthday2013.

Let's get Painting...
Hi there!! See, I promised I'd be back soon. Each month at TSG, we have what we call "There She Goes Again" which highlights some of our older sets. This month, one of the highlighted sets is called "Every Child" which I have used on my card today. The DP is a mish mash of various lines (Echo Park and Jillibean Soup). We all know I never stick to one paper line.... I have stamped the image in Archival Black ink and then colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.
Hope you like it!!! Make sure you check back next week when we start the sneak peeks for TSG.

Need a Cupcake??
Hi there!! Another quiet week on my blog but the next week or so it'll get busy, I promise. I had some free time this morning so I decided I wanted to play. I used the current Deconstructed Sketch as my starting point but kinda veered off course somewhere along the way. Apparently I'm not good at paying attention.... OOPS!! For my card, I've used the Stamping Bella image called "Cuppycake with a Huggabugg on top". It's currently on sale, so it's worth getting :-) The image was stamped with Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The DP is a mixture of a few different brands.
Sorry about the picture quality... something happened to my camera card and I can't get it to work... argh. So I had to take a pic with my Ipad and it has come out kinda funny.
Thanks for popping by!!!

Put your big girl panties on....
This week at Stamping Bella, we had a sketch challenge to work with. It was a nice, clean and simple one which is always fun. For my card, I've used the image called "Big Girl Pants" that I stamped with Archival black ink and then colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I'm loving using them so much that my Tombow Markers are starting to feel neglected. Oops... The DP I've used is one of the Pebbles lines from last year. I've stamped a sentiment on the blue polkadot panel that doesn't show very well in the pic... darn.
Did you notice that Em has extended the sale through the weekend??? Make sure you check out the blog for more details :-)
Next week's challenge is "Sizzlin' Summer". We want to see some fun summer type cards. I already know what image I'm going to use :-)

Glass half full
I think it's been one of those weeks where my glass has been half full... now if only I had the time to drink the wine that's in it. LOL!!! As soon as I saw the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, I knew I had to play. I've had Opal the Optimist in my stash from Stamping Bella since shortly after it came out but it's the first time inking it up. It's a travesty, I know... I stamped her in Archival Black ink and then colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The DP is a mixture of MME and Pebbles. Hope you like it!!! I'll have more cards over the next few days.
Have a great day!!

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a super pig??
Hey there!!! Have you been checking out the sneak peeks on the Stamping Bella blog this week??? Aren't they fantastic? I think I need this entire release in my hot little hands ASAP!! Parker the Super pig is AWESOME!!! I've colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I decided to keep the card CAS to highlight how fantastic the image is. I didn't want to clutter it up with designer paper.
Make sure you comment on the sneak peeks because you'll have a chance to win them!!!
