TSG154 Thinking of you Flowers.

Just a reminder that the deadline for TSG's Mother of All Blog Hops is upon us!!! Check out this link at the TSG blog for more info.

This week our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Laurel! She is challenging us to make a card or project using May flowers!! Since April is almost over, and we all know how the saying goes, it is time for May flowers, so be sure to use SOMETHING floral on your card, whether it be paper, stamps, or embellishments.
My parents had to attend a funeral recently and they asked me for a sympathy card so this is what I created for their friends.  I've used two TSG sets, Sweet Pea and Tulips (for the sentiment) for my card. I have watercolored the image with my Tombow Markers after stamping with Versafine Onyx Black and embossing with clear embossing powder.  I have also used the current Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge that I have flipped to make it vertical.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using May flowers, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (May 7). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the lookout to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG154 so we can check out your beautiful work!

TSG Sneak Peek - Oh Snap!!!

Torico’s final set this month is SURE to impress the camera hound in us all! Photography is a part of everyday life, and a growing hobby for many, and how much more FUN would it be if you had a camera like one of THESE??!! A picture truly is worth a 1000 words, and with summer vacations, graduations, and well, EVERYTHING, coming up, what a PERFECT set for the photographer in us all.  Full of cute sayings, and TONS of images to create the PERFECT card/scrapbook page/project, you really can’t go wrong!!

I went really clean and simple with this card!! I know... I feel like I cheated.  But I just love that sentiment! How many of us said that to our siblings when we were younger?  I know I sure did.  Now when I hear it, I cringe.

Oh Snap is a 6x8 set that includes 33 stamps, and will sell for $24.

Would you like to win the new Oh Snap stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, April 28th, with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

ISSC13 Snail Mail!!

WOW!!! It’s been a busy week on my blog and I’m afraid my life isn’t slowing down. Maybe the little cutie on my card can help me.  LOL!!! For those who have been following my life the last couple of months, I had a flood mid-February and earlier this week, my contents were finally returned.  With one glitch… They brought my boxes back first… so now I’m in a sea of boxes and my furniture is not where it should be. It’s kind of a vicious cycle if you ask me.  I’ve shed a few tears this week, all out of frustration.  Wanna hear the kicker?? There was confusion about my craft desk… so it wasn’t returned but the happy part of that is I get to buy a new one!! Ikea here I come.

But that’s not why you’re here, so let’s get on with it.

We are here with this week's ISSC13 challenge that has been inspired by Dawn Mercedes (dawnmercedes @ SCS)! We love Dawn's bold, colour blocked card and the panels are oh so easy to cut! Let's see how this fun card inspires you!

For my card, I decided to use the fun set called "Ba-donkey-donk" and the Birthday set called "Make a Wish".  I have quite a few friends and family  with birthdays coming up so I figured this was a good as time as any to make a card to get ahead.  LOL!!! TSGA and ISSC12 with Melyssa Connolly

Yeah!!! I'm so looking forward to this week at iSpy Sketches!! We're highlighting Melyssa Connoly (croppixie @ SCS). Melyssa is the brains behind Whimsie Doodles (a fantastic site for the cutest digis around) and many of us girls at There She Goes are lucky enough to work with her illustrations with her line of stamps there as well.
Have I mentioned I'm excited about Melyssa as our "Ispy" for this week?
We fell in love with this card and knew we had to feature it as a sketch.

hehehehe... I had so much fun!

I'm loving this card that I made for this week's There She Goes (Again) as well as this week's Ispy card.  At There She Goes, we're highlighting three sets and I chose to work with LOL Taglines.  It's one of my fave TSG sets but I don't pull it out nearly often enough. I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored it with Tombow Markers. Easy peasy!!! A bit of My Mind's Eye "Follow your Heart: Be Amazing"  and some Walnut Brown Vintage Seam Binding from Ribbon Carousel and my card is done.  Yeah!!

Here is how to play:
  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC12), and link it here with the inlinkz widget below.
  • Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.

The girls at Totally Stampalicious are giving away a $25 gift certificate to their store to this week’s winner!

When I saw that this week's challenge was all about colour, I knew I wanted to use the Bo Bunny line called "Alora". To me, this paper line screams fun!!! And my middle name is fun!! LOL, really my middle name is Angela.  For my card, I stamped the image called "Stella Peeker Another Drink" using Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  A bit of coloring time using my Tombow Markers and voila my card!! I've also used some white pleated ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.

Thanks for popping by and checking out my card!!!

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! *** Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***
We'd love for you to join us this week! Here are the details:

  • Link up your creation using the Inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. Your image may take a little while to pop up, but don't worry, it will appear shortly.
  • Come back the Friday after the challenge ends to see if YOU are a Top Spool!

ISSC11 Yummo!!!

It's been a busy week in my life but that's the way I like it!! It also means my blog has been a little bit quiet. Sorry about that, I'll try to be better LOL!! With the Spring weather it's not as fun being inside creating.

It's this week's ISSC11 Sketch Challenge and it's is from Julia Stainton (Julia S @ SCS). This is the card that it's based on :)

I was a rebel and flipped the sketch. Naughty me!!! Okay, not so much a rebel, it was a necessity for the image I wanted to use.

Believe it or not, I have actually had this card made for a couple of weeks. I sat down and got ahead on DT related things so I could get outside and enjoy the weather.  For my card, I was inspired by this Bazzill designer paper pack that I bought at my LSS recently. Who know Bazzill made DP? I sure didn't.  I love how vibrant the colors are :-)  I've stamped the image called Cheffa Huggabugg from Stamping Bella in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow markers. Nothing too exciting, I tell ya!! I then added some Black and White Grosgrain ribbon and some Black Twinery Twine (both from the Ribbon Carousel).

Here is how to play:
  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC11), and link it here with the inlinkz widget below.
  • Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.
  • A new challenge will be posted every Friday at 12:01 AM EST, and you have until noon on Wednesday EST to submit your entry.
  • You may enter as many times as you like, but please provide a newly designed project with a new link for each additional project.
  • We will choose the top 2 creations to be featured in our "Top 2 Thursday" post where we will announce who we have picked :) The winners will receive their very own iSpy Sketches blog badge!
  • Don't forget that you may combine our challenges with others and use supplies from any company that you wish :)

RCC48 Hopping with Your Next Stamp

This week we’re hopping with our sponsor, Your Next Stamp’s Designers to bring you TONS of inspiration using this week’s challenge sketch and the adorable stamps from YNS!  Our fabulous designer, Debbie Carriere, has provided both teams, AND YOU, with a fun sketch to play with this week.

I fell in love with Your Next Stamp a couple of months ago when I was the Guest Designer at Sketch for You to Try (YNS was our sponsor), so I was really excited when I found out we'd be pairing up with them for this challenge.

I LOVE this stamp!!! It's called "Mother Hen" and it also has an amazing sentiment that it can be paired with.  I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then watercolored the image with Tombow Markers.  The DP is from one of the new My Mind's Eye lines called "Fiddlesticks" that I paired with  Black Jute Twine from the Ribbon Carousel.
We are excited to have Your Next Stamp as our sponsor this week!  Your Next Stamp offers a wonderful variety of fun and whimsical rubber stamps and dies.  Karen is offering up a discount to all of the players here at The Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog!  Thanks so much Karen!!

Believe me when I say you'll spend quite awhile checking out YNS.
The Challenge: Use the sketch above and enter your card at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog by next Monday at 11:59pm EST.  Details on the blog.
The Blog Hop : Visit each of the designers below.  Leave a comment on each blog. End at the Ribbon Carousel blog and enter your name in the Inlinkz! You have until Friday 11:59pm EST to complete the hop.  Winners will be announced on Saturday!
What can I win if I hop?: One (1) $25 gift certificate from Ribbon Carousel or One (1) $10 gift certificate from Your Next Stamp.
Here are the designers participating!  Good luck and enjoy the hop! (It's an all-star line-up if I do say so myself).

I think it's fantastic a portion of this week's sales will be donated to Make A Wish!!! Jessica, I hope you and your family are having a fantastic time!!!!

This week at There She Goes,  our challenge is brought to us by Corinna! She has challenged us to use ribbon on our card or project!! The sky is the limit with ribbon, so use it however crafty way you see fit!!

When I made this card, I was in a "Springy" type mood and for some reason, sentiments were calling my name.  Hence, I pulled out the TSG set called "Sentimental Thank You".  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip Ink, Versamark and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I also sponged around the edges of the sentiment panel with Versamagic Wheat Ink.  I've used some Natural Crochet Ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.
We'd love for you to participate with us this week!!!
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a project using ribbon, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. SFYTT Out on a limb?

It's been a great month so far and I was more than excited when I found out that "There She Goes" is sponsoring "Sketch for You to Try".  One of my fave stamp companies pairing up with one of my fave sketches.  Match made in heaven I tell ya!!!

Great sketch!!!

My card uses one of the new releases from TSG called "Jungle Out There".  I watercolored the image with Tombow Markers (surprise, surprise).  LOL!!! I'm so predictable.  The DP is a mixture of Bella Blvd and Kaisercraft that I purchased recently at my LSS.

There is a great group of girls participating with samples today using TSG stamps. Pop on over to Jen's blog to check out all the details!!

Before I leave, I just want to let you know that Candace, who is one of our new TSG Trendsetters, changed her blog address and blog name. I hope you visit her new blog, Creatively Candace to follow her beautiful creations!

ISSC10 Heaven Sent

Can you believe it is April already?? WOW ! I must admit it's been nice to see a bit of sunshine (even though we haven't seen much of it here on the "Wet" Coast quite yet).  I plan on having a "crafty" Easter long weekend. How about you?

This week's sketch at iSpy Sketches is from Debbie Olson ( debbiedesigns @ SCS) and is based on this card.

Those circles were calling my name...

For my card, I used a really old MFT set called "Baby First".  The images have been watercolored with my Tombow Markers (I know you're surprised, LOL!!!).  The DP is some of the newer Echo Park mini themes (I can't remember the name and I'm not by the DP right now).

Now head on over to the iSpy blog to see what the girls have been up to.  As a refresher, the details for the challenge are listed below.
